First timer RV to redwood national park
Planning for a RV trip to humboltdt ,next day redwood national and state parks nearby and back to humbolt. day 1 - Reach humboltd state park afternoon, camping at night day 2 - start from humbotd state park at 11 AM , reach redwood ( suggestion needed which places/Trailer to cover as we driving an RV) if we get a campground @ delnorte redwoods ( walkin ) , well and good, otherwise return to humboltd camping spot in evening. Thats it.. so let me know how is the road conditions from humboltd to del norte state park via redwood national park. Are RV allowed in this route. where all we can park and have food in restaurants.. Suggest one good hiking for one day redwood NP trip ( with RV parking available) Please please help..I know its a long post :)

First timer RV SFO - Redwood NP
We are planning for renting RV ( 3 couples with one baby) from SFO - Redwood national park and back. Please advice how will be the road conditions , curvy or easy to drive. Its mostly 101 ... Suggest some good RV campgrounds.. ( we love forest ,creeks , vineyards like every one else) we will start on wednes afternoon and have to come back on sunday. Please give your thoughts /suggestions on RV campgrounds... Wed night - camp somewhere near clover dale or on the way ..some vineyards Thu night - some where near humbolt Friday night- somewhwre near redwood Sat night - back on 101 -- somehwre may be near lake mendocino sunday morning - back to SFO every stop can be 3-4 hours apart.

I never imagined so great responses from people.. thanks guys.. The RV I am thinking is http://www.cruiseamerica.com/rent/our_vehicles/large_rv.aspx @Bikendan - I want to stop and go in the day time and camp during evening. So my question was like we have car parking , do we have enough space for R V parking lots in front of entraces to redwood NP ? meaning can I park any where there is any space.. onbviously no.. right ???

I am scared. Though I considered myself a good driver , But have never driven a RV before. Just before taking a call, what you guys suggest ? are the roads on high altitude ? :( have pity on a first timer. give me some courage, but give wise advise :)

if we drive at 40 miles per hour , will it blocks the traffic ? Do people with 6-7 seater RV usually drive this road ?I meant is it common ?

We are planning RVing for the first time around Lake Shasta /Mount Shasta and back on route 299 to redwood national park and then heading SFO along Us1-/US101 I have few questions.. 1) how is the route 299 for driving 6 seated RV . 2) Where all the places we can pull over the RV and rest ? How would I know which are the places to park . 3) in recreation.gov, I saw reserving RV park ground ? Do we need to reserve it ? there are no free parking available ?
