Interesting, when winterizing, there should be a shutoff switch that cuts power to the entire unit during storage; its sometimes labeled "storage". I've had three MHs and all and this shut off switch. It disconnects your batteries. These are all good suggestions. Thanx for the tip on the heat issue; we'll definitely keep that in mind. A couple of other factors are the cost of transportation from the storage facility to the airport, the airfare and the the reverse of that. And, covered vs uncovered. Excellent. Great advise. Thanx. Being from Alaska we intend on snow-birding in the lower-48 between September/October thru the end of April. Rather than driving the ALCAN twice a season, we're looking at storing our RV somewhere and flying back. We intend on using our other camper here during the summer months for our short outings. Are there any recommendations as to secure facilities to store an RV for several months at a time? Are there regular storage businesses that cater to these sorts of things? Thanx. And, they want 39 bucks for me to simply try it - if I don't like it, I'm out 39 bucks - don't like that. Well, maybe I'll simply use google maps and find RV parks, BLM and other places on my own. Thank you to everyone who replied or posted; this was very good information. I looked up the GenTuri on Amazon and watch a couple of youtube vid's. I've put one of these on my purchase list. We currently have a Lance slide in. It has a generator. We don't use it that often because of the noise while inside and out. Hopefully, with this the noise level will be reduced and we can enjoy our slide in more. As for the future, if the GenTuri lives up to the hype, it will be coming out of the slide-in when we sell it. We're in the market for a class C - we've narrowed our choices to three. Each, though, has the generator mounted behind the driver; approximately under the couch/bed or dinette. Has anyone had any problems with fumes entering the inside space? The exhaust pipe doesn't extend out from the side but about an inch or so. And, how about noise from the generator inside? tolerable?
