Good luck. :) Barney Could you please put this back into the old category? No other Class B motorhomes mount the Cool Cat like Xplorer did, and they only did it one year. Pop ups use this more than Class B motorhomes. Thanks, GerardCool Cat Replacement? This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29277929Cool Cat Replacement?Hello All I'm removing the terrible excuse for an air conditioner called the Cool Cat from my 99 Xplorer 230XLWT Class B motorhome. The thing is so noisy that I was relieved when it finally quit cooling last season, and I had a good reason to replace it with a household unit. Has anyone else done this? From what I can tell, I'll need a "Wall" A/C with a sleeve, not a "Window" A/C, because the thing is buried in the top rear wall of the RV. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks, GerardDometic Electronic Fridge Impressions?Hello All! My 99 Xplorer has a working Dometic RM2310. I hate the controls on the floor, and am considering an upgrade. There have been two more generations of the 3.8(?) cubic foot 3-way fridge produced since mine. The RM2350 is manual, with controls on the top of the fridge, but is no longer produced. The RM2354 is electronically controlled at the top panel, but is available only in black now, which I'm not crazy about. What are people's experiences with the RM2354 electronic model? Do you like it? Is it reliable? Should I upgrade? Thanks for your opinions. GerardRe: Looking for Xplorer or Pleasure-Way Used Gasoline Neverhappy wrote: torinoscj429 wrote: Still running well! Gerard Your car trip was most interesting to read, did you document your explorer trips ? Would love to see some pics ! Thank you for the compliment! We took much of the same route as the car trip from 2 years prior, but with my lovely wife, it was much more fun! Yes, I was thinking of a travelogue for the motorhome trips as well. We take a LOT of photos when we travel! GerardRe: 98 Dodge Van Rear Sway Bar? 06Fargo wrote: That's a nice looking B-conversion Gerard. The tall profile and long rear overhang is helping the wind try to weathervane the vehicle into the wind when driving in cross wind. A check to make sure all steering components are tight to spec and front castor angle is correct may find something contributing to the effect... A sway bar won't hurt but might not cure... You have lots of suspension company resources in SoCal The weather vane comparison seems pretty accurate! Last year going across Kansas, we were behind a 4 wheel drive, 4-door Ford pickup with a tall camper. He didn't sway much at all, and I did notice his rear sway bar. Thanks for the reply! GerardRe: 98 Dodge Van Rear Sway Bar?My Xplorer comes standard with the dual rear wheel conversion kit. It's pretty stable without wind, but moves a lot in cross-winds, hence my interest in a rear sway bar. Gerard Re: Looking for Xplorer or Pleasure-Way Used GasolineStill running well! GerardBath faucet alternativesHello All! Our 99 Class B Xplorer motorhome has the wet bath in it, where one faucet performs dual functions, those being filling the sink and showering when the hose vacuum breaker is lifted. We seem to be limited to the style faucet, being the dual handle with the shower pull-up at the rear. Are there any alternatives to this faucet, particularly something single handle? It seems that the showering method could be greatly improved with a single-handle faucet. Ideas? Thanks, Gerard
