My perfect setup would be a used 30' 5'er TH but that anamial doesn't exist. I want to keep my road mass down and also be able to use national parks. I would perfer to not buy new or special order. It's just me for the most part and the and the wife on a couple to few trips go I do have to think about her comfort. Or I ditch the toys and go hang out in the Class A section. Screw that plan for now anyway.Re: Best/worst reviews no help Coronacross wrote: Thank u ALL that replied!!!! Again I learned from this as well. I’m in no hurry to buy , but wow it’s exhausting looking at all the different names made by 1 manufacturer. But again thanks again for all the helpful information My $0.02, ditch the 6" lift on your 1 ton truck and use it like a truck. I say this because you want a bumper pull TH with a 12' garage, that is a tall order to fill without dragging a very long mass behind your truck. A bumper pull TH that will fit a SXS and sleep 4 people is going to be at least 28' plus 4' of tongue or 32'. You would be better off with a 32-36' 5th wheel or gooseneck. But I'm funny like that. :)Question for those tha full/part time in their THI have been rolling around the idea of a TH and toy for some off road type fun. The TH would be something in the 20-25 ft range and the toy would be a Honda Rincon and/or KTM 350 EXC-F or both. My tow vehicle is a 2019 Silverado, Crew Cab, Duramax, Dully. My used would be 30-60 day type trips exploring the US both off road and non off road type camping locations. Question for those that do this full or part time when you are in an RV park that doesn't cater to off road activities do you unload your toys to have use of the inside space of the TH? Seems like it might be a PIA to unload and store outside each night when not using the toys. I ask because most TH in the 20-25 ft range have a front bath and aft bed that needs to be lowered. Thanks DennisRe: Anyone own a Monaco VESTAI see a lot of negitive threads on the internet about the Maxxforce engine. Doesn't Tiffen use this chassis/engine setup somewhere in their product line?Anyone own a Monaco VESTASo in my COVID internet searches I was searching for info on a 28-32 ft Class A, diesel power and came across the a 2011 32' Monaco VESTA. Guess this is a front engine setup, looks nice. Anyone own or know about this model? My last RV was a 1998 Monaco Dynasty 36' DP. This will not be a full time rig, 30-60 day trips. DennisRe: Back AgainAvan, I just spent about an hour checking out your blog, wow I'm barely into it and am amazed at your detail. Sucks about the breakdown on your DP, been there myself once with my prior DP and yes calling for a tow on a DP is a whole new experance one will not soon forget.Re: Anyone own a Carson Toy HaulerOlder post of mine but wanted to follow up. I looked at a new Grand Design RV Momentum G-Class 21G here local and Blackdiamond is correct, your not stuffing a SXS in that Toy Hauler. Given what this thing cost new I was not impressed, just another cheap sticks and staples RV.
