Replace the coach batteries they were five years old and not keeping up with the demands any more. Sanitized water tank and system, cleaned water heater tank, and tested LP system for leaks with manometer. Next weekend a bath and chassis services. First trip is to Lava Lake Oregon with my son May 14 for five days of fishing and relaxing.Re: Smoke odod in the coach dave17352 wrote: gearhead143 wrote: Well tried to rent a ozone generator today and only found one place in Salem that carries them,Sunbelt rentals and they wanted $100.00 per 24 hours an that was for a small one. From what I have read 48 hours is what is needed to do a complete job, at the rate I can buy one. So tonight I search for the purchase, anyone have any thoughts on a good one to buy? and where to buy one? Did you check on my clicky about 5 posts up from yours. Amazon has several with reviews on each and every one. Sorry Dave I missed the link, but I am looking at them right now. ThanksRe: Smoke odod in the coachWell tried to rent a ozone generator today and only found one place in Salem that carries them,Sunbelt rentals and they wanted $100.00 per 24 hours an that was for a small one. I didn't have access to the internet today. I just got home, and caught up on all the rely's,and I just walked by the open window of the RV and the smell is still rolling out of it. I did do some research on ozone generator, and think this is the way to go. I am going to see if I can rent one tomorrow and start the process. I am aware of the hazards of using a ozone generator and plan to stay away while it does it's job. I will post the results when the ozone generator finishes it's job. Thanks for all your input to my problem.Smoke odod in the coachWent camping at Devils Lake at Lincoln City Oregon. I was taking the grand kids fishing and told everyone to keep the door closed on the MH so the smoke from the camp fire doesn't get in. When I got back the door was open and the MH wreaked of camp fire, and was full of smoke. The smoke alarm had been disabled, and was laying on the table. I was not a happy camper at this point! I have had all the vents, and widows open, and a fan running in it since I got home, but the the camp fire odor is still terrible after three days. Does anyone have a idea on how to get the smell out of my MH?Re: Will a Ford 450 chassis work...Should work fine. It will be slow on the steep grades. I have a 2004 E450 27P Minnie Winnie and pulled my show truck (1990 Chevy SS454)in a enclosed trailer without any problems, but as I said, it was slow on the steep grades. I am going to install the Banks Power Pack system this winter to see if I can get up the hills a little quicker.Re: 0W 20 oil in my 6.8 L V. 10Yeah, but now Ford, since 2001 I believe, recommends 5W 20. You are correct. Ford had been having an massive top end failure rate on the modular engines (4.6 5.4 and 6.8) and found it was oil starvation on cold start. This was found to be the fault of heavier 5W/30 oil that was spec'ed. There was two TSB's published on this in 2002 to use 5W/20. Yeates689 here is what Ford spec's for 2013 6.8 Ford Part Name Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil (US) Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil (US) Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Super Premium Motor Oil (Canada) Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil (Canada)* Ford Part Number XO-5W20-QSP (US) XO-5W20-QFS (US) CXO-5W20-LSP12 (Canada) CXO-5W20-LFS12 (Canada) Ford Specification WSS-M2C945-A *Note: Use of synthetic or synthetic blend motor oil is not mandatory. Engine oil need only meet the requirements of Ford specification WSS-M2C945-A and display the API Certification mark. I use Mobile 1 5W/20 and Motorcraft filter. If you do your research you will find that the Motorcraft filter's have one of the best synthetic media elements in the filter market, and the flow rate is correct for the engine.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Pulled the cover off, and I was very happy to see there was no mold this year. The new ADCO cover worked great. Now to dewinterize and get ready for the first trip of the year in two weeks. Headed to Big Lava Lake Oregon for five days of fishing with my son and son in-law.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Put foam covers on the ends of all the awnings. Filled the water system with the pink stuff.Ready put on the new ADCO cover tomorrow night. Set for the winter.Re: How to wax the cab hangoverI borrowed a walking plank from a contractor friend, and set two 12ft ladders, then set the plank at the bottom of the overhang and was able to machine compound, and wax from the top of of the roof cap to the bottom, and side to side. I know this is a little late, but didn't have internet where we were camping.
