I am in no hurry to buy and will probably find a 2005 - 2007 in a Newmar or Monaco 40ft in length with my wife's only demand a washer-dryer. Thanks again. I have a max of 100,000 to spend on my first diesel pusher. I have been looking at adds for Newmar and Monaco. A Winnebego 2004 Journey Series M-39K has been advertised with three slides. My belief is that a 4 slide unit will have less depreciation than a three slide. Would I be ahead buying a 4 slide unit that may be less depreciation and what do you think of the Winnebego Journey Series M-39K? Thanks for replying. If the purchase would be a Diplomat or Endeavor in the years 03-07 would it need to update the chassis? If the purchase is a 03-07 unit will there be any built in problems such as chassis, electrical, or engine? Which years would more likely be most problem free. Which years are the engine a problem? Thanks to everyone that gave me some needed advise. I have been looking online sales paying attention to 2003 to 07 years in the Diplomat or Camelot series 40 ft. Does the tag axel make driving much easier? Does the 8 air bags make driving easier than the Newmar at the same length without tag axel? First time motor home buyer. What is the story about Monaco and Holiday rambler? Were they a split? As I look at units it is confusing which units are which. Which is the better unit and the most valuable? I want to buy used and spend around $100K. I think my choice will be Monaco over the Newmar, I presently pull a Newmar 5th wheel. Thanks everyone for their reply's. My generator is a 3100 and while the air conditioner is running it has a 10-12 amp draw. I think that maybe a call to champion would answer my question.
