I'm aware enough to realize my limits at that age! There are just way too many stories about elderly drivers who should not be behind the wheel these days. This is not intended to bash any group of folks. I'm a firm believer that EVERYONE with a license should be ROAD TESTED periodically, to ensure they are capable of controlling their vehicles properly. We're just fortunate that young people never get sleepy. I doubt that the drivers license test will ever require testing to see how long a driver can drive before he nods off.Re: Onan error code 24Just as a follow-up for future searchers, Kpackpackkelley kindly PMed me the parts manual. I found and replaced the water temp.sensor and all is well! Thanks, Kelley! BillRe: Onan error code 24Thank you!Onan error code 24My Onan 7.5kw diesel generator starts and runs five minutes (load or no load) and dies with a error code 24 (Temp. sender fault). I can restart it immediately and it will again run five minutes and die. Output on each leg is 123V while running. Is there an access panel or opening where I can visually verify that the belt is OK? Where is the temp. sender and how do I access it?Re: RV GPSWe use the Microsoft Streets and Trips software with the Microsoft GPS. We put the notebook computer on the dash and run the Silverleaf VMSpc vehicle monitor on half the screen and GPS driven Streets and Trips map on the other half. When we have passengers we connect the video output to the overhead TV for their watching pleasure.Re: Valve stem extension stabilizersThanks for the responses. I had never heard of these until the tire guy that found the leak in my extension said I should use them but didn't have any to sell me. BillValve stem extension stabilizersAre any of you using these? Do they reduce valve stem extension leaks especially when using TPMS sensors?Re: another wax ?Aerospace 303 is not a cleaner, not a polish, not a wax. It is a water based SPF40 UV blocker that washes off when it rains and that's all.Disappointed in 303For many years I’ve used Protect-All® to clean, polish, wax, and UV protect all the exterior surfaces of my vehicles including motorhomes, travel trailers, tow vehicles, toads, etc., but the experts on this forum tell us that we shouldn’t use products containing petroleum based ingredients on our tires . . . they will cause them to blow out or something. Although I’ve never had any tire problems attributable to Protect-All or the Armor All® I used for decades before, I decided to play it safe and get 303 Aerospace Protectant® when I ran out of Protect-All. The first vehicle I used it on was an enclosed trailer. The first thing I noticed was that it didn’t seem to be cleaning and polishing like the Protect-All. Then I could tell from the drag on the final towel that it had not waxed the surface. I looked more closely at the label and literature and sure enough the manufacturer does not claim that it cleans, polishes, or waxes; it is just a UV protectant. Since I’m now the proud owner of a gallon of the stuff, I’ll use it on my tires so they won’t blow out but I’ll go back to Protect-All for the other surfaces. Fire suit on, popcorn and beer in hand, 303 fans flame away!Re: Where to sell ?I've used PPL consignment twice and they would be my first choice if (when) I sell again. They do the advertising, hand hold the tire kickers, handle the paper work / title transfer, even arrange financing for the buyer. I don't have to worry about good/bad cashiers checks etc. These services are well worth the commission to me.
