Grant Nation Park in St. Louis County were I found out the Senior Pass cost is going up August 28th to Eighty Dollars. The fact of the rise in price is not news to me, just the actual date is. I also found out that you can buy multiple passes in case you loose one or to leave in multiple cars. The pass is per individual and can not be used by any other person, even your spouse. There was a line of people buying passes and the ranger claimed that they have sold over a hundred today. My original pass has saved me over Six Hundred Fifty Dollars in our travels so I bought an extra pass for just in case. If you are over 62 and want one, now would be the time to get one or to get a spare! Just an FYI.Re: Generator questionsMy 1995 Generac np66g has a switch on the side of the genny that runs the fuel pump. When I let my genny set for a month or more I will open the generator bay and hit that switch for about ten seconds and the genny will fire right up then. I don't know what the newer models have though. jersyjim, It sounds to me that the choke is stuck open. When you hit the starter switch the choke is supposed to close for a short time. If you have a cold hard start condition, check your choke.Re: GeneratorYou are getting a lot of good advise here but, have you looked to see if the choke is sticking? On my Generac NP66G the choke stuck closed and caused the genny to run ruff and not output the correct voltage. I had to pull the air cleaner completely off to see the choke and the slight rust problem that caused it. This might not be your problem but I did not see on your thread were you checked for this and it would take just a few minutes to do. Good LuckRe: Visiting Grand Canyon in JulyWhen we were at the south rim last August we found that you can not buy bottled water inside the park as they do not want the litter. You can buy hard plastic bottles to fill at the many water stations. We carried 2 16oz soda bottles full of water apiece and filled them often as the heat is very dry and you do dehydrate quickly. As for Trailer Village we placed reservations about 6 months in advance and had no problems.Re: Interesting stop at a Cracker Barrel in ArkansasThe manager told me that what he said made sure that the company would have no liability if something happened. I just thought it was a pretty interesting statement.Interesting stop at a Cracker Barrel in ArkansasComing back from a swap meet in Chickasaw Ok. we went to Fayetteville Ar. We stopped at a Cracker Barrel to eat and while there I asked the manager if we could overnight in his parking lot with our 35 ft. mh and trailer. His answer was "I can't say yes but I won't say no". He was very help full after that. I just thought that was an interesting answer.Re: Rexall Aerbus opinionsBought a 95 35ft Aerbus as a salvage. 6 months to put it together. DW and I love it. Lived in it for a full month last year with no problems. When we upgrade we will try to get another.Re: Selling your rigGet buyer, meet buyer at lender's office. Buyer pays lender. Lender releases title to you. You sign title to buyer. Buyer takes rv. Have done this many times.Re: Headlite Assembly ChangeoutYou can replace the bulbs but carefully check the headlights. The adjuster has small plastic parts that get bridle and break and the light get out of aim. The only fix is to replace the headlight. You will find headlights on Ebay for your MH but they will be way over priced. Just get headlights for a 95-6 ford F150.Re: Headlite Assembly ChangeoutThat is the exact assembly on my 95 Rexhall Aerbus. I bought new headlights for a 95 f150 and they fit perfectly. Just go in back of them and you will see two bolts with nuts holding them in at about the yellow turn signal height. There may be some screws or bolts holding up higher but are broke on mine. Once you get the trim off there is just 3 clips holding the headlights in. Again, all this is from the back side.
