The auto park will not disengage...so the motorhome will not move. Someone suggested power steering fluid...tried that and didn't work. Is there a fuse or something that will disengage it?Re: Water heater will not restartI have listened to the initial start-up and it sounds good. I have not listened for the restart because it is hard to know when it will try to fire up again?Re: Water heater will not restartYes I do get a fault light on the control panel next to the on switch on the control panel inside the motor home (it is yellow, but serves the same purpose). I will try to clean everything again as you suggested. Does this light indicate something?Re: Water heater will not restartForgive my ignorance, but where would these two thermostats be located?Re: Water heater will not restartI don't know if it "clicks" or not. I don't think it is the ignitor because it will light so well the first time??Water heater will not restartI have an atwood 6 gallon water heater in my motor home that has the electronic start from inside the coach. It will start fine and will heat the first tank to "completion" and then when it is time to heat new water or reheat the water in the tank that has dropped below desired temperature, it will not re-ignite. I have done all the burner "blow-outs" and checked for bad connections. Any suggestions on what part is bad? Thanks!Voltage Regulator LocationI have an Onan Generator - Emerald Plus 5000 genset. Does anyone know where the voltage regulator is located? Thanks!Re: Portable GeneratorIt is an Emerald Plus 5000. . .I think the part number is 146-0663. The problem is the parts. According to the Cummins (onan) dealer the electrical parts are over $2000 alone.Re: Portable GeneratorHere is what happened. I was traveling from Michigan (where I live) to North Carolina to visit family. Onan Emerald Plus 5000 worked just fine for 7 hours. . .stopped to get dinner and it would not start. It chugged violently and backfired and then started and ran for the rest of the trip (another 6 hours). I tried many different things (from suggestions on another forum. . .thanks to everyone who tried). I changed the spark plugs, oil, and air filter. I took off the air intake and held the choke open hoping it would clear out. I tried starting fluid. Finally out of pure frustration, I took it to Camping world and they said it needed a new carburetor ($800). I wanted a second opinion, so I took it to nearby Cummins Atlantic and had a certified Onan repair person look at it. That is the place that said I needed over $4000 worth of repairs (Carburetor, Fuel Filter and line, electric rotor and stator, voltage regulator and all gaskets)??? I figured they would know exactly what they were doing???? I don't know why they didn't just try to sell me a new generator. . .one of the new self-contained 5500's is about $3700?? So. . .that is why I asked the question, because I don't have the money for a new one or to make those repairs (which would be stupid, in my opinion). Thanks to everyone for responding!Re: Running the FurnaceThanks to everyone!! Fairly new to RVing and about to travel into frigid conditions and I don't think the dash heater will keep up??
