Since it was so large, it looked heavy but its not. I mounted a plywood board in the opening, piano hinges at the top and a hole to put the new tv cable and electric plug through and i puchased a new mounting bracket at Goodwill. I hung the TV plugged in the electric cord and cable and it was done. Not a big job.Re: Rear slide problemI had to same problem with the bedroom slide it stopped working, but other slides are ok The RV tech put in new 6 volt batteries, which i requested, and went into the bed and lifted it and the wire had rubbed into because of the back and forward motion, it got cut. He repaired the wire and also replaced the fuse (not the breaker) thats for 120 volt, and this is a 12 volt problem. Then it starte3d working great.Re: 12 volt start batterythank you for your quick response and for not laughing at me. I know i should know more, but i don't. but you guys give me the reasoning i need. thanksRe: Am I Lazy? Need to Wash the RVI fell for a scam (i live in Florida) RV dealer said it needed a good detailing in and out of i wanted to sell the coach (2001 Damon Intruder with 52k miles) The dealer recommended a person to detail the coach and i talked to the guy and he said he was going to do the outside and his wife and son the inside for $600. A couple of days later i got a bill and called the RV dealer and he said the guy (he recommended) had done an excellent job so i paid him. I went down to look at the coach in a week later, and he had not cleaned the fridge or the running lights, etc. So he missed a lot. Be careful and be sure to look at the job before signing a check to him (don't be like me)12 volt start batteryI start the engine but pushing and holding the auxiliary button and it starts and runs good, if i start it by turning it off and one within a few minutes, it starts good. If i try and start it 15 minutes later, it drags down and will not start until the push the auxiliary button again. In other words it will not hold a charge, or its not charging in the first place. I am assuming i need to replace the starter battery. Its a big 12 volt battery and needs to be replaced from under the coach. Anyone with any ideas on if its a bad battery, bad connection or what. (battery is 3 years old)bedroom skude issue fixedI finally took my RV to a dealer to have the back bedroom slide issue fixed. Well its done now and was not a large issue. Seems in addition to the fact that the house batteries needed replacing (bought from Walmart- not good) one of the wires on the slide motor had rubbed against the rail and had separated. Once these two issues were fixed the problem was fixed For all you novices, i am one, the slides work off of 12volt.Re: Saltless water softenerI purchased a NUVO system for my house and it works fine. I know and the shop manager said i should put new tires on it. Should i rely on the RV shop or go to a tire dealer and get prices. Also, since i have no idea what size the tires are, does anyone have a similar RV that could tell me what size they are?ONE SPRING IN awningI was going down the road and heard a terrible crash and later found out that one of the springs in the awning had broken. Do they cost much to replace new, should i try and get a rebuilt or used one? Are they difficult to replace? Need some advice from experience.
