Yoder's Amish Restaurant is good. Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda is an easy drive down I75 for some browsing and waterfront restaurants.Re: Open and airy class B'sCheck out the blog tosimplify.net . I've been reading Glenn's blog for quite awhile. Go back to his beginning. JoyceFYI Regarding SC SPJust FYI. I tried to make a reservation on-line for Lake Wateree State Park, SC. The on-line site would not allow me to make one for 1 night only. Had to be a minimum of 2 nights. This is for May 12th, so not a holiday weekend. I called the park. Apparently this is their new policy. You can call the park the week you need 1 night and get it that way -- if they have one available. Just something I had not run into yet.Re: Charleston to CharlotteThanks for all the info. This will help a lot. JoyceCharleston to CharlotteAny suggestions on scenic roads to take between James Island County Park in Charleston to Cornelius, NC (just north of Charlotte). Would prefer to not take the interstate roads which is a much more direct route unfortunately. Thanks for your suggestions. JoyceRe: Fontainebleau State Park in LouisianaThanks for the Fairview Riverside SP suggestion. But one of the main reasons we would like to stay at Fontainebleau is the Tammany Trace bike trail (which we will do when the weather improves!).Re: Fontainebleau State Park in LouisianaThanks everyone. On the "way back" sounds good.Re: Fontainebleau State Park in LouisianaThanks for the reply. We are headed from Ft. Walton Beach to Laredo, so maybe we should skip that park on the way to Texas and stop there on the way back.Fontainebleau State Park in LouisianaWe will be traveling there on Thursday or Friday this week. How are the roads to the park from I-12 with all the rain this area has gotten? Anyone at the park now? Thanks, JoyceRe: Satellite AppExactly right GoPackGo. We were having a problem finding an open line-of-sight from our campsite at John Pennekamp .... which is really pretty durn open to begin with! Our fellow camper showed us we still needed to move our tailgater a little because the satellite was behind a branch. Problem solved. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll find one we are happy with soon. Joyce
