Thank you I thought that's what I was looking at. I just didn't know the name. I remember when Semi trucks started racing back in the 80's and they had catastrophic failures when there were blowouts. So I tried a little off-roading with my 30' Hurricane. (Fell off the driveway) There are two appliances that seem after-market attached to the axles and the control arms or inner hubs with springs. Doesn't seem to be integral part of steering or the sway bar. But I broke one. Is it something I need to replace? It was a miswired 30 amp plug to be sure. A makeshift campground. My fault for not buying a surge protector. Pretty sure it would have saved me. No bother. I needed an upgrade anyway. Four Winds didn't equip this coach with anything high-end. Curious, why not a 60 or 70 amp converter replacemnt then? The prices are comparable. WFCO isn't a decent replacement? So I fried my converter (50 amp wired to 30 amp plug)and it no longer charges my batteries. Killed a box fan and at least one 15 amp breaker on my panel. Everything else seems to be fine. I'm in the process of replace/upgrading the converter but I have a question: Why do I have a 55 amp converter for a 30 amp system? Do I replace with another 55 amp converter or buy a 30 amp converter? The wiring is plug n play so I feel I can tackle the installation I just don't want to put in the wrong converter for my coach. Tires
Okay, I've read, searched and looked up and down for information on the significance of tread pattern for RV tires. The general opinion from my reading posts is that tires that are old will need replaced or bad things can happen. 6, 7, 8 years... Since mine are 12-years old I've been looking to avoid that catastrophic failure that's coming and buy a new set all the way around. Can someone 'splain plez, how the vertical groove pattern is significant from a regular car or light truck tread pattern? They obviously are different for a reason. Thanks for the post. I read things. Makes me go Hmmmmmm. Then I check on my stuff. Upon inspection of my rear bushings they are GONE... I don't mean worn out. They have disintigrated and aren't where they're suppose to be. Something to correct right away. Wow, just wow.297Views0likes0Comments
