We have to pay for every piece of mail that is forwarded so we're careful about who we give our address to. However, in the last month I received 5 pieces of mail from Good Sam; all of them junk mail advertisements. I also found out that another piece of mail came from one of their "affiliates" that they gave our address too. I am sure this happens to a lot of full timers so I thought I would pass this along. You can call 1-800-964-4748 and ask them to take you off of the mailing list and be sure to tell them to not give your address to any of their affiliates. That's what I did today anyway, so hopeful they do as they promised and I stop paying for promotional pieces. Hey...Good Sam...full-timers DO NOT WANT junk mail!Re: RVing overseesBecause we're going everywhere! :)RVing overseesI am looking for any and all advice regarding RVing oversees. We are in the beginning of planning for this future trip. Right now the RV we have is too big for this journey, but plan to buy a smaller one. Has anyone ever transported their RV between the United States and Europe? If so what information can you share? Cost? Companies that provide the transportation? Are there boondocking opportunities oversees? Any advice, or resources that might be helpful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Re: Recommend a good document scanner for the rvI understand everyone's comments on using my phone...I currently have a document scanner on my phone and I do use it often. However, I need something more heavy duty for the large quantity of paperwork that I am currently storing and need to get rid of.Recommend a good document scanner for the rvHello! It seems I am in need of another appliance! I need to get a document scanner for the RV. Being Full-Time RVers, we have drastically cut down on the amount of paperwork we carry. However, we'd like to par down even more. We need to get a good document scanner to scan up anything that we deem important enough to keep a copy of. So, it needs to be small enough to carry around in the RV - however, it needs to create a really good quality copy PLUS we are getting rid of any extra storage we have outside of the RV so I have a bunch of paperwork in file cabinets that I need to scan up so I need something that will stand up to that test. Something that I could insert multiple pieces of paper in and that could scan front and back at the same time maybe. Any suggestions?Re: Espresso Machines and a Good LatteWow! I've really got a wide variety of answers here! Thank you everyone! I've been researching every recommendation but I'm still not sure which way to go. I wish there was somewhere I could go to sample a latte from all of these ;)Re: Espresso Machines and a Good Latte donn0128 wrote: No. We carry an old Starbucks machine in the trailer and have a Jura Compresso for home. Both are excellent machines. Might check around for a shop that sells used one. What Starbucks model do you have? I've read people having problems with those...you haven't had any issues with it?Espresso Machines and a Good LatteI'm contemplating getting an espresso machine for the RV. Tried as I might, I can't fall in love with my husband's coffee. I want a tasty latte. Does anyone know of a good, affordable and small espresso machine that would make really good lattes in the RV? Thanks!Knoxville Tennessee AreaWe will be spending a month in the Knoxville Tennessee area this fall...any body have some good recommendations of things that can't be missed? Off the beaten path?Choosing a dentist on the roadI may need to go to the dentist as I am starting to have some dental discomfort which makes me think I either have some kind of infection or may need a root canal. My question to you is; how do you choose a dentist on the road? Sure, I can check out their websites and make sure they are of good quality, read their bios and their customer reviews...but I am wondering if there are certain website review sites or other information you use to qualify a dentist or doctor before choosing. Thanks!
