I need cooler and Cambro space. I cook competitive BBQ. That or I figure out a new holding method. Coolers will fit under the table. Really looking forward to getting Viva! Sure has been a chore getting the GS G24 ready for trade. First time out for Viva is 8/21 in Hot Springs!Moving from B to CI'm almost done getting the Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser emptied out! After 6 years, I'm trading to an Itasca Viva! I'm sure it'll be an adjustment. The G24 has massive storage under the bed. There's nothing comparable in the Viva, but I think I can make it work if I remove the bench seat by the door. Any body else take that bench out?Re: Perfect BBQ for a BThe Cobb is amazing and versatile and cooks with 8-9 matchlite briquettes. I always carry a Hot Box Grill in the back of my G24 Vista Cruiser. It's a great steak cooker and I've got the winnings to prove it! BBQ is why I have my B, 72,000 miles in the last 5 years going to BBQ contests all over! Usually towing a 14' offset pit in the back.Re: Sprinter 2500I have a 2007 Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser G24 built on a 2006 Sprinter. It's been a peach. Toying with trading it for a Winnebago Trend or Viva.Re: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?Took it up to see the Sprinter mechanic early Saturday morning, stopped by my local camper dealer for an LP refill, then cleaned until I wore out. Wonder if the foil trick would keep out ladybugs??? They don't bother me much, but first few trips in spring I leave a trail of ladybugs as I shoo them out the window.Re: Sprinter BI have a 2007 Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser G24, built on the 2006 chassis, just passed 60,600 miles, purchased new in 2009. I live in SE Arkansas and I go to Little Rock for service. The large Dodge dealer's Sprinter mechanic passed away last year -- no plans to replace him. They referred me to an individual who only works on Sprinters and there's a Freightliner dealer in NLR for warranty work. I've always done yearly maintenance, rotated (and replaced) tires. It has served me well. Turbo died at 15,000 miles. Replaced under warranty, but they replaced it with another plastic one. This is my first RV and I love it! Sometimes I look with envy on folks with B+, C and small A's who have so much foot room. Then I drive the G24 somewhere they can't go. Oh, and I tow a 1500# cooker most of the time. Getting ready to hit the road on Thursday and I am so ready! Big decision is whether to de-winterize or not (I don't think I will until the end of the month, it was 16* yesterday).Re: From a big B to a small C......observations Horizon170 wrote: Hi it's hard to tell how the bed works in the G24 floorplan. Do each side expand to sleep cross wise? Nice RV. Bed is fixed position Queen size. The bump outs on sides are head/foot room. Would sleep 2 but someone will have to crawl over to get out of bed. Takes a step to get up into the bed, but it's very comfy (replaced the mattress!). Main beauty is the storage underneath that's accessible from the back.Re: From a big B to a small C......observationsThere's been times that a C or a small A have been a draw. I love looking at different RVs but for me and what I do, my G24 is perfection! Vista Cruiser Just passed 60,000 miles with my 4th year using it. It's rare when I'm not towing a cooker behind it heading to a bbq competition. Don't see a time yet when I get tired of it!Re: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?Worked on removing peeling decals off the G24 Vista Cruiser. Gave up and took it to a friend in the body shop business. Looks so much better! Went on a short junket to Mississippi as a shake down to a longer trip next week. Crossed the 55,000 mile barrier! Tomorrow I'll clean inside, dump tanks and wash the exterior. Love my Sprinter!Re: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?Dumped all the tanks and winterized all in time for a 27 degree low this morning.
