When you need oil and it is miles away and you have no other transportation to go get it and you have road service then you use it. Yes I know how to put oil in. Form now on I will double check the oil change place and not take their word that they put the proper level back in. Some people are just STUPID in response to a Post that they apparently did not read the original complaint. I don't expect, as some moron mentioned , for road service to change my oil, etc. Just help in an emergency as the service says they will do. Did I mention that I am a disabled COMBAT VETERAN of several wars/conflicts and expect to be treated fairly. Some of my blood is has been left in foreign countries. 36 years in the military so some of you DAs can like moronsRe: Abandoned at the Samboree Perry, GeorgiaBy the way, I was contacted by Good Sam and was given the number to call the rep if I ever had this problem happen again. I was told it should have been covered. I realize sometimes those taking the calls don't know all the plans. Apparently Allstate handles GSRS calls. And I agree this should be for those who want to help, not RUDE Narcissists who wouldn't help their mother if they were stranded. So if you can't be real, then get off this forum and get a life.Re: Abandoned at the Samboree Perry, GeorgiaApparently you don't read the GSRs information. No I just wanted them to bring me oil which I was willing to pay for. I could have asked for a tow which would be covered and cost the road service more money. Or I could have had them tow the Rv. The uninformed don't understand the RV road service is different than Auto road service. No I wasn't stranded because some fellow attendees help me out and wasn't happen about how GSRs handled the whole thing. Even the CEO of Good Sam agreed that I should have been helped by GSRS. Are you stupid or something?Re: Front living roomWe have a 2014 Big Horn 5th Wheel with the Front Living Room and we love it. Neither of us is over 6 ft tall and we still have plenty of head room. Some times as you know in rv's you give up something to other features but we feel it was worth it. We had another 5th wheel.Re: Abandoned at the Samboree Perry, GeorgiaI had just had the oil changed and apparently they did not put the proper amount of oil in. It was low enough for the light to come on but did no damage to the engine. I have taken up issue with the oil change store who were supposed to change the oil and put in the proper level. The hitch had a spring break which did not allow the hitch to lock. A good sam fellow camper figured it out and I was on my way. The problem is with the Roadside Assistance poor response as stated in my original postAbandoned at the Samboree Perry, GeorgiaOur family went to the Samboree at Perry, Georgia Sept. 11-14, 2014. We had a great time as this is our first Samboree experience. All was good till time to go. The first problem was when my oil light on the F350 ford came on and we called roadside service. They would send service at $57.00 per hour plus the cost of oil. I did not have a problem with the oil cost but did the hour charge. So the State Samboree took me to get oil. He was great. The other was when my 5th wheel hitch would not catch. Again we called RSA and they said to take the truck to get the hitch repaired(this was on Sunday)and before we had the oil to move the truck. They would not even tow the truck or rv to repair shop. Again a fellow camper help us get the hitched fixed. Another stopped at a Camping World on Sunday and because a tech was not logged in to work would not even talk to him. He called me to explain. Thanks to fellow campers we were help. What good is RSA. An email to Marcus said it should have been covered but no assurance that if similar problems happen would we be stranded. We need to feel help will arrive if an emergency occurs.
