All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsGrey water tank sludgeHelping a friend with her grey water tank issues. 2009 36 ft. Motorcoach The tank drains very slowly. About 4 months ago we drained the tank as best we could and then took apart the slide valve and connecting piping to the tank, leaving the tank outlet open. Sludge came out and because we were in a campground we could not let too much drain out as other units were next door. Put things back together and filled the tank and did some direct drains and all improved quite a bit. 4 months later, now back in the same situation. This time she is in an area she can dump the grey water tank onto the ground (at a farm). T Two questions: 1) Any suggestions on how to flush the tank other than a hose directly into the tank through the exposed outlet when we take the piping apart. I am a little shy of using a pressure washer into the tank. 2) How can she prevent the sludge build up. She lives the coach full time and does not put anything but dish water and shower water into the grey tank. She does not have a dishwasher or clothes washer in the coach. Any suggestions will be well received.Sanitizing fresh water tank - no open inletDid a search and could not find my topic even though is likely discussed previously. Likely not using the right search criteria. Anyway, ..... 2009 Tiffan RED. Fresh water inlet fed from the rig water hose inlet through a two way valve. Meaning to fill the fresh water tank you simply change the valve to fresh water tank and it fills through the main system. The tank has never been sanitized and we think we picked up some water that is not so good. How do I get bleach into this closed system/tank? A second related question is I cannot find the fresh water tank drain. I would hate to use the water pump to drain the tank. Where should I look. Thanks for any help in this matter.Re: Moderator pump advice neededSorry for borring you!Re: Moderator pump advice neededBought the clean dump and no problems for 150' on level ground with a 3/4" hose.Re: Moderator pump advice neededHahaha. Best reply everModerator pump advice neededMy friend has a 36 ft MH and spend the summer in her daughter's driveway in WI. The blue tote is getting pretty tiresome. I suggested a moderator pump, but do not know what is possible. Given that the Celtic tank is 150 ft from her MH, what kind of hose is required to get the waste to the Celtic tank? Will a garden hose do for that kind of distance. It is level ground. The RV dealer did not have any experience. Thanks, GaryRe: Towing a small sports car behind a Class CThanks for all the input. Very enlightening. We may just tow our honda civic on a dolly and forget about the sports car for now. Now to go shopping for the Class C.Towing a small sports car behind a Class CI would like to buy a 'manual shift' sports car like a boxter, or BMW and would tow it on a tow dolly or possibly 4 down. any issues? Could you just leave it in neutral and go? I guess you could back it up on a tow dolly?? What have others done in this case? GaryRampage Motorcycle LoadersFor those who tow at TT and also haul their motorcycle in the back of their pickup, I can highly recommend the Rampage Loader. This is manufactured in CA, and fairly expensive but there are a few around that are used for much less $$. This is the safest way to load your bike on the back of a pickup. Trust me I know. I have the bruises to show.Dingy towing a 2008 4X4 Silverado- Setup instructions??A friend is dingy towing the above vehicle behind their m/h. I saw her set it up and thought at the time it was a bit too easy to set up ( ignition, transfer case, pulling fuses, etc.). Now they are home and the tranny is acting up. I don't think they set the truck up properly before they left Florida for WI. What do they have to do so I can pass it on. Thanks, Gary
