I always give myself approximately 300 feet before I signal my intentions to move back into the right lane. Nothing ticks a truck driver off more than someone to pass him and then cut him off returning to the right lane. To those who come up behind an RV, RELAX, the most I am going to cost you is 30-45 seconds. I will not endanger my family or any one else's just for your precious few seconds. I pay just as much to use that road as you do!!!!!!!!Re: Obbanon State Park , IndianaSorry the park was so crowded. It is normally a very quiet place to park for a few days. On the fee, as one poster stated, they do charge a "park entry" fee to everyone. I am almost sure they did not charge you for your tow vehicle. Yes, Kentucky does have some of the most beautiful, clean state parks in the nation. We always look forward to our trips that include Kentucky or Tennessee. Glad to see you got home safely and had a good time!Re: I-64 Campgrounds?I think you will enjoy the park. Iit is very niceRe: I-64 Campgrounds?Take a look at Obannon woods state park just off of I64.........Best kept secret in Indiana. Beautiful state park. Easy on and off I64Re: South Central Indiana ?? DanLeaAnn wrote: Thanks everybody for your help. We are excited to make our trip. I am thinking we will plan to stay at Brown County SP, but make sure we are full of water when we enter the park. Once we get some experience under our belt I will feel more confident about camping with out all the extras. Thanks again ! Very good choice!Re: Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use? kearlms wrote: My bars go on top of the battery boxes and the stinger (hitch head) goes in the back of the truck when camping. When at home they both go just inside the door of the camper on the floor with a rug under them to keep the floor clean. DittoRe: Myrtle BeachLook at Huntington beach state park just south of Myrtle beach. A nice park just across the dunes from the beach. The sites on the north end of the campground are shaded.Still waiting for membership packageWe joined Good Sam and roadside service a few weeks ago. I have received my roadside service cards, but nothing in the way of Good Sam membership cards. We are planning a few trips, and would like to have the cards available while on the road. Thanks MikeRe: Campgrounds along I-65 north of Birmingham ALWe travel this route quite often going down to Henderson Beach. Oak mountain park is excellent. However, if you are using your GPS it will give you bad directions (unless they have corrected it in the past year), so follow your map. We try to get a night at Cullman. It is fine for an overnight and the folks here are very very nice. Quick off and on for I65. Glad to hear there is a new KOA south of Birmingham. May try that on our next trip down. Have a great trip!!Re: Suggestions for an RV park in Anchorage? PackerBacker wrote: Please stick to the topic of recommending RV parks as the OP requested. ... Moderator Of Course. You are absolutely correct.....Sorry
