This is what the cooling unit of your RV fridge looks like: Your RV should be level enough that the liquid refrigerant can flow down the zig-zag tubing by gravity. If your parked RV is out of level enough that the liquid refrigerant can't flow downhill through that zig-zag maze and gets trapped, damage will occur to the unit. As others have said, if your RV is level enough so that you feel comfortable while inside, then the refrigerator should be fine. You can see that you would have to angle the fridge quite a bit for the gravity flow of the refrigerant to be impeded. The situation that could cause damage is if you are traveling with your fridge running, and you park on a relatively steep grade while heading off on foot for sight-seeing or shopping. If you do park on a hill, remember to turn off your fridge until you get back. Also as others have said, don't worry about the fridge if running while you are driving -- the constant motion prevents the liquid refrigerant from accumulating in the zig-zag tubing.Re: Netboy's Camper Project Page has a new address NRALIFR wrote: Thanks Netboy. I still say the fresh water tank inspection port was a stroke of genius, and the best mod I've done to my camper, ever. I've used it numerous times to fill the water tank when the only means of getting water to the camper was with my 6 gallon jugs. Much, much easier to fill the tank through the inspection port rather than through the gravity fill on the side of the camper. I have also fixed TWO leaks in my fresh water tank from the inside by going through the inspection port.... but I couldn't have done it if the inspection port had not been there. Not as easy anyway. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :):) Glad that inspection/access port has been such a help. I loved having it on my Lance water tank, and I added water to the tank from a 5 gallon bucket several times while dry camping. Also great for cleaning the inside of the tank. When I got a Class C, an access port on the potable water tank was one of the first mods I did. Don't know why the manufacturers don't provide such a port (at least as an option). Just one thing, Netboy ??, a "new member"? There should be some sort of grandfather clause around here. It just seems weird. Sincerely, Dave. p.s. the link works fine for me. Hi Dave, yeah, I don't know what happened, but when I went to log on to RV.net my username and password wouldn't work. I tried registering again with my old username but it said it is not available. Messed around for about an hour, but finally gave up and re-registered with a new user name (Netboy503 instead of just Netboy). Oh well, no big deal - something just expired I guess.Re: Netboy's Camper Project Page has been moved (again) Butch50 wrote: Well Hello Netboy, it has been ages since I seen you post on here. What have you been up to? Been doing a lot of local Class C camping for the last few years, and also restored a 1967 Chris Craft 38' Commander with twin 427 Fords. This is an early fiberglass boat that is built like a tank. Still miss the versatility and ease-of-use of my Chevy Duramax and Lance camper - it was a great setup. I own a server that I can create subdomains on. Hey JoeChiOhki, so good to see that you are still here on the forum!!! If I have trouble with the current host site I will PM you. Thanks for the offer my friend. Not allowed on RV.net. Hi rockhillmanor, I was a senior and very active member on this forum for years - the old timers here remember me quite well. There is absolutely zero advertising on my page - just documentation of the many DIY projects I did on my Lance camper. The page had been up on my free Comcast web space since 2004, and has had over a quarter million visits by forum members over the years who have provided hundreds and hundreds of "Thanks for the ideas" postings and PM's. But a couple of months ago Comcast discontinued providing free web space for their internet subscribers, so I moved the page to a free web hosting site. Then last night I found (thanks to a heads-up from senior member AnEv942) that my page was gone, and when visiting the link adult content instead appeared. So I spent several hours moving the page to another free hosting site. BTW, I'm not trying to drive traffic - if I get over a few hundred hits per month the free hosting sites don't continue to be free. This has been a frustrating process. Best wishes, Netboy...Netboy's Camper Project Page has been moved (again)Hey you-all, wanted to let you know that my Camper Project Page has (another) new address as of today: http://netboy.16mb.com For years the page was on Comcast (http://home.comcast.net/~netboy/) but they recently discontinued their web hosting for members service, so I had to move the page. PLEASE NOTE that I had the page at another host (byethost6.com) for the last couple of months, but that service turned out to be flaky so I just now moved the page to the 16mb.com host. Sorry for the inconvenience. Best wishes, NetboyRe: Netboy's Camper Project Page has a new addressUPDATE: The Camper Project Page is now at http://netboy.16mb.com ...
