I faxed him a copy of the ticket as well as my side of the story. He called me this morning and said he had talked to the prosecutor and he was willing to drop the points on my driving record if I paid the $215 fine. I am just waiting for the paperwork now. Bottom line in going over the scenario over and over in my head, I still think I did everything possible to avoid the trooper. I will however, take the suggestion many of you made and give myself more space when following a semi. I'm retired now and not in a hurry to go any where. If people cut in front of me, and I'm sure they will, so be it. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to respond. Hopefully this discussion helped more than just me. Good postRe: What should I have done?Good discussion.Re: Camping near DetroitI recommend the Algonac State park already mentioned. There is a brand-new park on lake Saint Clair. URL is http://northpointeshoresrvresort.com You will want to spend a couple of days at the Henry Ford.Re: Air Condition UnitOur Newmar had the exact same problem. Turns out the front unit was previously replaced. The new unit was installed without the foam gasket that separates the return air from the conditioned air. Most of the air just kept recirculating through the unit without ever going into the coach. I hope this helps.Re: battery light on dashPost removed.Re: ToadHere is a link to the Ford towing guide. After choosing a model year you can scroll down and find the four wheel down section. http://www.fleet.ford.com/towing-guides/Re: Need any and all ideas for things to see and do in MichiganAs already mentioned, you could spend several days at the Henry Ford. That complex has Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford museum and an assembly plant tour. We spend a month every year touring the outer edge of the lower Peninsula. Our favorite towns are Lexington, Port Austin, Tawas, Mackinaw, Petoskey, Traverse City, Ludington, Silver Lake (sleeping bear dunes), Grand Haven and Holland, Saugatuck. Using the website, I tried to change my programming but the site doesn't list it. So I emailed the support group and received the following. "This package contains 50+ channels for only $34.99. But the good thing with this package, you can almost choose a channel you want instead of getting higher package that includes channels that you do not want to watch. You can choose an additional package with only $10.00 per month. Below are the additional packages that can be added on Flex Pack. Locals Pack Variety Pack Kids Pack National Action Pack News Pack Heartland Pack Outdoor Pack Regional Action Pack" Several weeks ago, I asked them to fix the website but it's still not showing the new packages. I wonder if they are hiding the packages if we already have an account? Paul
