We have reservations for 10 days in Banff and 7 days in Jasper. We have about 18 days before reservations at Saltcreek in Olympia NP, Wa. I’m looking for recommendations on other places to go and things to do between Jasper NP and Vancouver, BC. We like to hike, kayak and sightsee. Campground suggestions would be helpful too. We like boondocking in neat neat places for a couple of days at the time too. Also, looking for recommendations on somewhere to spend July 4th holiday in the area. I understand July 1 is a similar Holiday for Canadians so a reservation may be necessary. Finally, we would like to visit Vancouver on the way back down to the states so we are looking for CG suggestions for the Vancouver area. Thanks everyone.Ocala National Forest CGsWe are going to the Tampa show in mid January and would like to spend a few nights in Ocala NF. Does anyone know if they have a percentage of sites available as first come and what are the chances of getting a site for a 45' MH? On line reservations show full so I'm thinking a lot of people may stop there on the way to Tampa. ThanksRe: Entegra QualityWe have a 2017 Anthem and have been very pleased with it. It's our 1st MH and we also came from a 5th wheel. We looked at Tiffin, Newmar and Entegra. I can only share our reasons for this choice and what we have experienced thus far. We marked Tiffin off the list due to the problems of getting service from the factory. I know they have a good reputation for service but we wanted a coach that did not require a lot of service. We bought ours to travel not sit in the parking lot in Red Bay waiting for service as many fellow campers described to us. Additionally, fit and finish on the models we saw did not compare well with the two other brands. Newmar makes a great coach in this price range. IMO, fit and finish are similar, maybe a nod to Entegra. You can tour both factories about 20 miles apart and judge for yourself. One big Newmar advantage is that you can special order with many different options and choices. I believe that to be the main reason the similar coach (Dutch Star vs Anthem) costs many thousands more. Entegra gives you 4-5 choices of floorplans, exterior and interior colors. They offer only 3 options, exterior fridge, solar panels, and traveler satellite. Everything else is standard so you get more bang for the buck. Entegra has a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty vs Newmars 1 year. All Entegras are built on Spartan chassis until this year that was an upcharge for Newmar. Newmar has the Comfort Drive (computer enhanced steering). I drove both and could not tell a significant difference. I could tell the Entegra was quieter. My understanding is Newmar offers great service and is quicker getting parts to the dealer when needed. Also they have a good reputation earned over many years. Jayco purchased the bankrupt Travel Supreme and the first Entegra's were pretty much Travel Surpremes. I think the first Entegras were not available until 2011. Based on the research on this and other forums we were expecting any brand to have some issues and need warranty work. We have been happily surprised. In 6 months and 13K miles we have not had any down time due to coach issues. The few times we had minor issues we called customer service and they sent a mobile repairman to address the issue. We took it to our dealer just last week for the first time for several warranty items to be addressed and the engine and generator serviced. If it sounds like I'm pushing Entegra I guess that is probably accurate but only because we have been so pleased with ours. I'm not putting down Newmar as they are very good as well but I liked the floorpan, the quiet ride, the 2 year warranty and the lower price. Others may feel different and as others have said the most important thing is the right floorpan for you. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Good luck with your decision. If you have any questions PM me. I'll be happy to help as a number of people in the forums and in campgrounds were a big help to us.Re: Savannah, GAWe were in McCallister SP last week. Very nice, although a good bit of damage to the trees by Mathew. The bugs were there but not very bad and not very many other campers.I40 or I70 west from Zion, NP to NCWe are heading back to NC after a 3 month trip and I'm hoping to take the route with the smoothest roads back home. I70 and I40 have similar drive times. Has anyone driven either of these two interstates recently and if so what was the road condition? Thank you.Oregon Coast to NAPA, Ca. with 45' MHHi all, we will be traveling from Portland, Or down to NAPA, Ca in October. New area for us so I'm hoping to learn if Hwy 101 is good for a large MH. We hope to be able to stay in state parks along the way as well. If anyone has any recommendations for scenic routes and campgrounds they would be much appreciated. Thanks.Re: CGs near NAPA ValleyThanks for the help! I was looking at NAPA Expo, that should work fine.CGs near NAPA ValleyHi everyone, we are planning a trip to NAPA the first of October and looking for CGs. We will be in a 45' MH and require 50 amps and full hook ups as we will have another couple with us. Hoping for a place with a little space so we can enjoy sitting out with a glass of wine while barbecuing. Thanks for your suggestions.Class A Owners Carrying MotorcycleWe are heading out next week for our first trip carring a Road Glide on a Hydra-lift on the rear of the coach. Do any of you doing this use any kind of cover on the bike while traveling. I have a HD cover but I'm concerned about it rubbing the finish while beating in the wind. Thanks
