All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRoadside Assistance InfoI have had Good Sam Road Assistance since Aug. 2013 and have not been gable to register my Winnebago Minnie Towable as my vehicle on the Info. When I first tried to register it they told me it would be added by Jan 2014. I have tried numerous time to list it and Winnebago is still not on the list. WHAT GIVES???????????Re: Planning a trip to FloridaIf you are looking for the really laid back Florida push on for another 80 -100 miles to Port St. Joe and stay at TH Stone Memorial State Park. There are 2 campgrounds in the park, Gulf Breeze is just over the dunes from the open Gulf and 300 yds from Port St. Joe Bay. Shady Pines in inland on the peninsula but still within 300 yds of both Gulf and Bay. very quiet and restful and a great place for kayaking and fishing or just walking the beaches. It also gets you away from the touristy and into the old "forgotten" coast.Re: The sad time is here again. Not to change the topic but Happy Times Are Here Again. Fall camping is just about here in Sunny South Florida. Heading For T H Stone Port St. Joe State Park on Cape San Blas in a couple of weeks. Kayaking, red fishing, trouting and hiking not to mention just having fun in the (not as hot as summer time) sun. Really looking forward to our first extended trip in our 2101 FBS MINNIE. Picked it up on early September and having been doing a few mods. Biggest, moved the elec. jack back about 4 inches to get the F 150 tailgate down while stopping. Much easier to get the 85 lb. lab out with the tailgate open. But I am also jealous of all of that rest you guys up north will be getting.Re: Stretch a garage door or shrink a trailerWell, it seems that all of the things mentioned above have definitely conspired against me. We got home with the new Minnie yesterday evening and I just tried to put ten ft of TT in a ten ft door and from the top of the ladder it looked possible but from the AC at about ten ft out to the ac at a ft out the door appeared about 10 inches lower. Will make a call to Overhead Door (my installer about 5 years ago) tomorrow and if they are closed for Labor Day, then Tuesday. Will discuss options with them. Thanks for all of the quick responses.Stretch a garage door or shrink a trailerHave a ten foot high garage door opening. Have a ten foot high TT at the highest point. Would backing up to the door and dropping the air pressure in all four tires give mu sufficient clearance to get in the door?Re: Minnie Winnie TowablesWe will pickup our upsized Minnie 2101 FBS on Wednesday of next week. For the past 2 years we have been in a 17 ft Casita after a 29 ft Dutchman Denali so we are looking forward to much more room trailer wise as well as tank wise in the almost 22 ft of the Minnie. We thought smaller was better but we went to small. The Minnie seem well built and to us much larger but still very easy to tow.Re: Winnebago Minnie TrailersAfter a good bit of research, and almost 2 years in a 17 ft. Casita, we decided to try a Minnie, the 2101 FBS. It is only 21 ft. 11 in. and with a walk around queen bed that you do not have to go outside to walk around as we did in the Casita, it appears to live twice as large as the Casita. All I have read about the Minnies seems good. We would be picking ours up this week, were it not for yours truly wearing a cast on my left foot. We will be picking it up the 28th or 29th of this month.Re: Are there 21' - 22' travel trailers with a walk around bed?The 2101FBS Winnebago Minnie is 21'11" long with a walk a round queen bed and also a couch in a slideout. dry weight is 3840 lbs and a hitch weight on 460 lbs.. We have one on order and should have it sometime in late August. The bed area has a sliding curtain from one side to the other.Re: Are there "good" clip on mirrors?ditto for the CIPARe: GrillNot trying to hijack a thread but just wondering if someone can recommend a small gas grill (2 nice steaks) that reaches about 600 degrees.
