My slide comes in and out slowly as well. I want to clean the battery cables. They look fine but I would like to eliminate that as a cause. Is it the neg. or pos. that I remove first. Also I have only 2 house batteries. Is it always in pairs of two? If so, if I have enough room in the compartment, could I add two more thus increasing the house battery power on hand. Thanks Rico 2006 Coachmen Cross CountryRe: 2006 Coachmen Cross CountryThat does help. Thanks. Rico 1996 Coachmen Cross Country2006 Coachmen Cross CountryCompleted a one month trip with the family this summer. Have most everything figured out on the RV. The one thing that I haven't figured out is why one time my slide comes in any has plenty of power and then the next time it has barely any. So the question is Inverter on or off when plugged into shore power... Main battery in back of coach on or off when plugged into shore power...and I always keep the battery switch by the door on. Also what is the proper position for all of these when it's store and plugged into shore power. Thanks RicoRe: refridge goes to gasBath GFI was tripped. thank you for the help. RicoGrand Canyon to MoabThis summer we will driving from Grand Canyon up to Moab. Then up to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Any advice on routes and campgrounds. We have a 39ft Coachman Cross Country. Thanks RicoRe: refridge goes to gasThe fuse behind the fridge was the first thing i check. All my breakers are good. I did not find another fuse in the fuse panel for the fridge. I will do the blow dryer check when if stops raining. Thanks Ricorefridge goes to gasMy refrigerator keeps going to gas. I checked the fuse in the back and it was good. I'm plugged into shore and the "salesman switch" is on. I had the inverter off and nothing. Turned it on and nothing. what else should I try? Thanks RicoRe: 2006 Coachmen house batteriesDo I need the inverter on when the gunny is running. Also since you have a cross country. Do you know if the quick connect in the passenger outside front compartment is for air or LP? Thanks RicoRe: 2006 Coachmen house batteriesTested batteries at NAPA. They said they were good so I brought them home. Cleaned all connections and left off one rusty washer that was on one of the connections. It is now working as it should. I don't know if it was the rusty water someone had placed on the post before connecting the ground or the minor corrosion on the positive cable but it's working. Thank you everyone for the help. RicoRe: 2006 Coachmen house batteriesVolts on house batteries at 6.7 I took them out and will be taking them to NAPA to have them tested. It seems that the slide and generator works off the house batteries. I will update the battery condition later. Thanks Rico Getting closer.
