They purchased a part of the old Country Coach factory from the Lee family and are located next door to the facility purchased by Winnebago. Gary and Louie are two of the nicest guys you would ever hope to meet and very helpful, as is most of their staff. This is a horrible loss for them and for the community. Fortunately, the front building that houses the office, repair facility and consignment and for sale coaches was not involved in the fire. There are many customers waiting on pins and needles to find out the fate of their coach. As far as "dabbling" in repair, I would say they probably do as well or better than most facilities in the United States, Texas included.Re: First Trip to OregonQuick thought. Although 38 is a nice trip to the Coast, if you exit I-5 and take 42 over to Coos Bay/Charleston area you will have the opportunity to see Shore Acres Park when the rhodies are at their best. Also, some of the pics from earlier posters are in the Coos Bay area. If State and County parks are full in that area there is the RV Park at the Mill Casino, also dry camping available there, Mid Way RV Park and the Marina RV park in Charleston.Re: Is a Resort REALLY a Resort & is a Park REALLY a Park or??Your idea is a good one but there is already a Big Rigs guide out there and it is a good one. The authors actually visit the parks in their book. They may not have stayed there, but they have been there, know the measurements of the sites and give you the numbers of the big ones. Also list restaurants and various activities in the area of the park.Re: Class A MotorhomesPosted: 02/06/14 05:58pm Link | Quote | Print | Notify Moderator LOG WROTE: "Read the title and the intent of the forum's description. Class A Motorhomes. Members are asking help and information on Class A Motorhomes. Read some past members post and questions. Then read some of the replies. If members cannot understand the nature of why I am saying this, then that is one of the problems. A member ask a question about the depreciation on the purchase of a new $250,000 Class A Motorhome or maybe the depreciation of a three year old Class A Motorhome. A member post that depreciation is not an issue. The member did not say what type of RV they owned. It would be helpful to know if the member that post had a five year old $20,000 travel trailer." By the same token the owner of a 2004 Foretravel, may not have the knowledge and expertise to assist the owner of 2013 American Heritage. Be careful what rocks you throw.Re: New Garmin RV 760 LMTWe had a rough ride on a marginal dirt road in Montana thanks to Tom Tom, decided we needed something that would direct us to roads for a rig our size. Did read some of the reviews, but felt the rv specific routing would be an advantage.Re: New Garmin RV 760 LMTThank you for the link. It will be very helpful. Hope the Nevada heat is not getting you down. The Oregon Coast is wonderfully cool, but we will have to come back Nevada soon to mow the lawn.New Garmin RV 760 LMTReceived this unit today. It was good to be able to enter the measurements of the RV and Bluetooth set up was very easy. I would suggest that anyone purchasing one of these keep their TrailerLife/Woodalls guides for a while, as a quick surf of some of the POI shows that the data in this new unit is about 3 years out of date (at least for Oregon). We are fishing right now and the coach is in the barn, so we have not had an opportunity for a road test of this unit. Also, when I attempted to download the user manual, there isn't one yet.RV Season is beginningGot to the local Wal Mart just before 3 this afternoon. 2 Class A's in the front of the parking lot, slides out and awnings deployed. Guess they were getting an early start to the evening. Interesting, these people would choose to camp at Wally World when they can camp in the shade with water and electric for under $20 a night at the local fair grounds.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Not today, but in January, 2011, we removed the Norcold and installed a Samsung French Door. Works like a charm. Wish we had done it sooner.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosThese were prominently displayed at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation "Elk Camp" in Reno, Nevada last week. They do look to be as useful as advertised.
