Can't remember what I paid but, checked out some others and their pricing was better.Re: Tank gauges seldom work correctly!I had same problem and read somewhere to use Ridex. It solved my problem.Re: Cummins engine dies and then !!!Finally solved problem. Replaced ignition relay for the starting problem that would also cause engine to die. Other problem with all the electrical issues was a result of a hot wire rubbing against a screw and wearing off insulation. Had to replace battery disconnect control board located in one of the bays. Have been on a month vacation and travelled over 3000 miles and no problem yet. Re: Dead GaugesI am currently experiencing almost the same problems. Haven't found the problem yet. Ruled out the ECM (electronic control module). I personally think it is a ground wire issue. Will be having all the grounds wires R&R hopefully before next week. If u find your problem before I find mine please e-mail your fix to give me something to look at. Larry Baumgardner 614 264-8636 e-mail Bumster1@att.net. ThanksRe: Cummins engine dies and then !!!on return from Bremen,Indiana on Nov.6th after travelling 225 miles and 15 miles from home the motorhome shutdown and after pulling off side of road after waiting about 20 min.was able to move up about 5 miles and then did this a couple of more times and then had to wait 10hrs before it would start again and allowed us to get to the Cummins Dealer 10miles away. Nothing showed up on their computer. After sitting for a day was able to start vehicle sometimes after 10-15 clicks of ignitition key and sometimes on 1st try and sometimes on 2-3-4 tries. Kept 2 day log of each attempt and would try every couple of hours and above were the results. Reaching out for any ideas of what may be the problem. Appreciate any feedback. Forgot to add that when vehicle died there was no power to dashlights when key was turned on. Would only start when key turned and lights come on. ECM and fuel pump ok.Re: Cummins engine dies and then !!!I replaced the ignition switch and fuel transfer pump. Sometimes vehicle shutsdown to an idle, sometimes completely, sometimes after dying and turning the key off and then back on it doesn't appear to have any electrical and then after turning key on/off for a few times the electrical to dash comes back.Cummins engine dies and then !!!2002 National- Islander, 40 ft. - Cummins Diesel. on trip to Bremen,In.in Sept.2013 our coach quit running and after pulling off to side of road we determined engine was idling but when pressing gas peddle unable to increase RPM's and then coach died. Coach immediately restarted and we continued for about an hour and then same thing happened EXCEPT, after engine died and I turned key to restart there was no electrical in the dash. After a few tries it come back to life and restarted. Had this problem in the past and replaced ignition which didn't help and then cleaned up all ground wires that I could find and that seemed to solve the problem at least for a while. One occasion in which this happened it appears the cause was battery cables vibrated loose and after tightening problem seemed solved. August 2013 happened again and was able to get to the Cummins Dealer and computer readout said fuel transfer pump was going bad. Pump replaced and it was about 600 miles before issue popped up again. Looking for IDEAS/THOUGHTSRe: Michelin TiresI have had excellent results with Michelin and Bridgestone over the years. If you join "Family Motor Coach" you can get your Michelins thru them at a highly discounted price. I saved over $400 last summer when I replaced my rears.
