When it got to the page for the road service plan there was another offer for a certificate with a very small print notice at the bottom that is was good in Campingworld, Overtons and Gander Outdoors retail stores. It is still not the best business practice: 1. It appears to refer to the road service plan certificate 2. The notation does not specifically state it is not good online. We LIKE to visit the retail store and do stop off if we are passing by. However this was not a best practice to encourage customer engagement. To their credit, they did respond to my comments and offered a totally satisfactory resolution. yillb wrote: rv_kayaker wrote: I recently renewed my membership for 3 years based on the "two $25 merchandise certificates" offer. There was no explanation about conditions for using the certificates. I anticipated using them for on-line shopping. When they arrived today, I discovered that both certificates are only good in store. The nearest store is about 1 1/2 hours away. In addition, one expires in 3 weeks and the other is valid for 4 weeks starting a month from now. Spending 3 hours driving to save $25 is a waste. I definitely feel like i got scammed. It actually says it on the website, prior to you paying. you just didn't read. A bit of a scamI recently renewed my membership for 3 years based on the "two $25 merchandise certificates" offer. In considering a class C rv as a retirement plan, being able to kayak as we traveled was an essential part of making it work. We already had an Innova Sunny inflatable. It is a high end inflatable which can set up as a single or double. We have used it in ocean and lake settings for up to 6 or 8 mile trips, but it doesn't compare with our hard shell sea kayaks (or offer the safety of spray skirts, etc.) We mail ordered a Trak kayak for test paddling. They have a 30 day return policy, It was great. The Trak Seeker ST16 is a skin on frame performance kayak. Sets up in about 10 minutes and performs likea hard shell. After a short test paddle side by side with our carbon/kevlar sea kayaks, we were sold. On another day I paddled with a buddy and we did a 14 mile non-stop trip. Well, we have 2 of them now and the rv is arriving this month. Check out their web site for videos showing them in use around the world in all sorts of conditions. We are looking forward to using them around the US and Canada. i'll be happy to answer questions or even let you take a look at one if you are around western Connecticut. web site is www.trakkayaks.com Mike Winnebago view...arriving soon Trak Seeker ST16 (a pair)
