When I was a claim adjuster and denied something it was mandatory that a denial letter was sent out. You cannot just deny a claim for no reason. Progressive treated us very very well when our fiver was destroyed in Hurricane Irma. This doesn't sound like Progressive at all.Re: Thoughts on LED lightsReddog1 I think you may have just answered a question I had when I was considering buying a light replacement from Amazon. It said it was 12v-24 volt, but then when you scrolled down further, it said 30 volt. I took that as a bad thing, but perhaps that's what we need after all. If you wouldn't mind checking out this link and offering your opinion, I would surely appreciate it. Amazon 12v light fixtureRe: Eternabond tape on roof laps over sealantWe have used Eternabond on three rv's. Hubby just cleans it good, then puts the Eternabond right over old caulk. Last year, he did our Fifth Wheel we had bought for a permanent lot. About as soon as he did the skylight in the shower, we got a crack in it. DARN... He had to remove the Eternabond in order to replace the skylight. It was not fun, but not impossible. Moral of the story...check skylights real well.Re: President Trump donated 1st Quarter salary to Nat. But, I think there is some terminology that might be hindering your search. Any current device would be at least 3G for cell communications and can send SMS text messages or connect to the internet and either way the data goes to the same place. In our case we connect to the internet using a secure connection and from there, SMS text messages are sent to a phone. SMS text messages can also be sent to the device. And we also have an app that can display other data. Anyhow, I think maybe you are searching for a device that uses 3G instead on WiFi for it's connection as opposed to searching for something that does not connect to the internet. And then the question is whether you specifically need SMS text messages or can use an app on a phone. David David..... You are going way over my head... LOL. I am searching for something exactly like what I have now. I am a little aggravated that the device lasted less than a year with no warranty, and that the new one is twice the price I paid. I don't know exactly how it works, only that I don't need Wifi and I get text alerts and I can also send texts to confirm temperature inside the RV. Is there any other better terminology I should use when searching? Do you have anything ready for sale yet?Temperature Alert for Pets using TextI need a device that plugs into an outlet on our RV that will text me an alert if the temperature gets too high (or low). It needs to work without internet. I know the technology exists because I have it currently. It not only sends me a text if the temperature gets too high, or there is a power failure, but I can send it a text to double check the temperature and make sure it's working well. The device I have is from Cell Sign Technology. I paid about $130 ten months ago. It worked fine until about a month ago. I also pay a $12 monthly subscription. The guy I bought it from thinks a power surge fried it. I don't know how that could happen since we have a high end Progressive Industries Surge protector. Bottom line is, it no longer works and now I need a new one because it's getting very hot where we are located and we don't want to leave our pets unprotected. The same one I paid $130 ten months ago has gone up to $240. My question is: Can anyone point me in the direction of the same type of device. It needs to run on SMS text, NOT internet.Re: Splendide Ventless W/D CommentsThanks for this great info. We just bought the ventless for the same reason. It's brand new and won't tumble when drying. I got an error code that said to call tech support. Of course it's Friday. I'm hoping it will be an easy fix and they will pay for service here in the Keys.....Questions on Galley Gray water tankWe just bought a 2005 Pilgrim Open Road fifth wheel. There were no manuals with it. We have always had a motorhome with a gray and a black tank. We kept the black tank closed and the gray open. In this new to us fifth wheel. There are three dump valves, two of which are gray. We had both gray valves open and were surprised when the kitchen sink started filling up with water as I was doing dishes. AGAIN....Both gray valves were open. The gray tank only drained when he opened the black tank valve. The toilet wasn't over filling or over flowing, but the kitchen sink was filling up. Are these two connected? We've never had such a thing.Re: Installation of Splendide washer/dryer combo Fulltimer50 wrote: I think if you put the try on top of the carpet, you may find the feet are soon breaking trough the tray do to movement and weight. I would either remove the carpet or if concerned about resale, put a piece of plywood on top of the carpet and the tray on top of that(since you all ready have the tray. What location would prevent you from using a vented model? I think you're right about putting the try on top of the carpet. We will either remove the carpet or put plywood on top. The reason we went with the ventless is because the plumbing is not by an outside wall and from what we had read, that might be an issue to run the dryer vent an extra two feet. We have a vented one in our current motorhome and it works fine. We decided we could make it work with the ventless....although it was NOT our first choice. ThanksInstallation of Splendide washer/dryer comboWe bought a Splendide 7100 ventless washer dryer because of where it has to be located. We would have preferred the vented. Can anyone point me to a You Tube Video on how to install? I found some really BAD ones that were no help. Our plumbing hookups will be on the side of the unit and I'm concerned the drain hose will not reach around from the back to the side of the unit for proper draining. Anyone have any experience with that? I read where you should not put it directly on carpet. We bought a tray for underneath. Should we screw down a piece of plywood and then put the tray on top, cut out the carpet, or just lay the tray on top of the carpet and be done with it? We bought the brackets to screw it down. We want to know what we are doing before we start the install. Thanks for any guidance.
