I had a heat gun for 30 mins to valve to empty tank just to open it and found frozen water all the way up. Not sure how far in it is. Any suggestions on unfreezing while RV is outside in freezing weather? I was hoping to unfreeze it to prevent further damage since winter is just starting. ❚ Did you read the FTS "Announcement : READ BEFORE POSTING HERE"? Right now we are in Williamsburg, VA and my wife who has been booking places is having a hard time finding spots that are open during the winter. We want the kids to see snow and are also considering the New England area as our next home. Any park reconnections or sites to look at to make things easier?Re: unlimited data plans Bill.Satellite wrote: Just got approved for the business service with the Unlimited folks. Sprint "unlimited", "unthrottled" service for $42.99/month and $50 for the Zing MiFi. More news later! Bill, is this through unlimitedville, and if so how has it been working out for you? What is the diff of the Zing & Pocket WiFi? I found a similar company and was wondering if anyone has any review of http://wifinderplanet.com/pages/plans.html?Re: Power to Slides & Front Compartment with BatteryRESOLVED: My new procedure is going to be 1) check fuses 2) check fuses again 3) check fuses one more time So as you can see it turned out to be a fuse after 3 days of trial and error. -1st)I visually checked the fuses and did not see any problems -2nd) I used a cheap Fuse Tool Fuse Puller Detector Test and the light lit up green on them all. -3rd) I noticed the Living Room fuse has a red light lit up next to it which said was a bad connection, pushed that in all the way and light went out and thought I was good, but the slides still did not work, nor did the awnings, or exterior lights (all of these switches "slides, exterior lights") -4th) I was ready to give up but saw a mechanic on YouTube using a Multimeter to test the fuses and thought I would give it a shot - and guess what, the Living Room fuse was bad -5th) Put a new fuse in and pushed slide 1 in and heard that lovely sound of my slides coming in!!!! -6th) I saved the master bedroom slide for last and it did not work, I was too excited about getting all the other in I did not care but went back to step 1 -7th) Checked the fuses again and all were good -8th) Last, back to the Slide Control Panel I had to do a manual override which was to push the mode button 6 times and hold on the 7th until green/red lights flash and then I was able to get the slide inRe: Power to Slides & Front Compartment with BatteryThanks for pointing that out, usually i am there with the generator on and never really tested outlets until troubleshooting the slides... this is all new to me, 1st RV...seems to be something every other week. I guess repairs/maintenance are going to be a constant thing?Re: Power to Slides & Front Compartment with BatteryI went back this evening and found none of the outlets are working. All lights, vent fans work, i checked all fuses again, battery was charged and at 12.78. I checked all my outlets and only have one gfci in main bathroom which i pushed in and it clicked so i am guessing i reset it but still no luck with power. Usually i would be able to open the slides with power from my truck and rv battery. I will look at the blown "short stop" circuit breaker tomorrow. Would this cut power to all the outlets and slides ok the RV?Power to Slides & Front Compartment with BatteryYesterday my slides were working in the morning and afternoon and then when it was time to close up the slides did not work. Here is what I did and noticed so I am stuck. BATTERY Volt reading about 12.68 1) All appliances, lights inside work 2) PLUGGED INTO TRUCK LCI Hydraulic lifts work, I did not try when unhooked 3) I checked all fuses related to slides and battery 4) I checked all wire connections and 2 were somewhat loose so I tightened those 5) Waited a little while while truck was running & tried again with no luck I noticed that in the front compartment where the battery is the LCI Slide Controller does not have any lights blinking to indicate what the issue is and there is one utility light that will not turn on as well and the bulb is ok. Any suggestions?Re: Keeping pets cool while you're awayAnyone know a ballpark price on prepping a 41 ft 5th wheel with a generator as a back up?Keeping pets cool while you're awayWe will be traveling with our pets in possibly very high temperatures, and as we're total newbies, want to make sure we're taking proper steps. Is it necessary to have 2 ac units or is 1 sufficient? We know to keep the shades down and all that but we'll be away for up to 8 hrs at a time and need to make sure our pets are safe in case of a malfunction or power outage. TIA!Re: Upsell and Add-ons for New Purchase Veebyes wrote: I think I'd be hitting them for stuff like upgraded battery bank, one of the better air hitches, suspension enhancements like the Center Point Equaliser, Correct Track system for alignment, better than cheap stock tires, a voltage regulator, stuff that really means something. below is a link to the one we're really interested in and somewhat negotiated price is at $62k, not sure what all those option you mention cost but you think I can get those add-ons? Price for this model already seems fair and I'm guessing because they have 2016 coming in. I guess it worth a shot! http://www.palmrv.com/2015-grand-design-solitude-366den-new-fifth-wheel-fl-i1556826
