All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Mold in Storage AreaThanks all. I think I realized the problem. My son left it open in the rain and then closed it later without telling anyone. Pretty sure it pooled in there and then condensed and froze and eventually just made everything moldy. Unfortunately most of the items with any cloth will need to be tossed. Bummer.Mold in Storage AreaI went to get some supplies out of the under storage area of my RV and found everything was damp and covered with mold. The dutch oven was also rusty. There is so much mold growing that I don't think some of the things are able to be salvaged, including camp chairs, fishing gear, etc. It is only in one storage compartment luckily and hasn't spread to other compartments or the interior of the RV. Has anyone else had this happen? What could be the cause? I have been an RV owner for nearly 6 years and have never seen anything like this.Showing Off Our TravelsThis might be an odd question, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to display stickers on their RV in a non-permanent way. We have collected stickers from our travels and I hate to put them on our RV for fear of ruining the RV and also because if I ever traded in the RV for another model I'd want to be able to take the stickers with me. I was thinking of seeing if I can get a big clear static cling sticker to put on the RV and then put all my stickers on that, which could then be transferred to another RV. I also thought about doing the same with a big flat thin magnet, but magnets don't stick to fiberglass. Does anyone have any other solutions or ideas they have had? Thanks!Re: Tornado SeasonThis is all really great advice. Thanks everyone. Sounds like a NOAA weather radio and and a couple of good apps will help in preparation. Safety is the most important so we'll make sure to take great care. Appreciate all the tips.Tornado SeasonWe are contemplating a trip through Tornado Alley in April during our kids' spring break. It would be the first half of April and we'd be traveling from Utah through Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, etc. I have obviously heard about tornado season, but never experienced it and don't know if this is something we should be worried about. Are we crazy? Will it be OK? Is that early enough in the season to not be concerned? I'd love any insight anyone has.Re: Wind NoiseWell, I did the testing with the tape and the noise is clearly being produced by wind passing by the side of the windshield and the frame. Taping up that seam helped immensely. The sad thing is it seems to be a terrible design flaw. I'll need to check with Winnebago and some windshield installers to see if there is a more permanent fix because I don't really want to drive around with masking tape on my windshield forever. Thanks all for the recommendations!Re: Wind NoiseThanks for the suggestions. I've looked into the weep hole covers. We are missing one, but I don't think that is where the sound is coming from. It seems more like it is around the sides of the windshield. I think I might try the painters tape along the edge, but it could also be mirrors. I might see if those can be adjusted at all. It just seems ridiculous that they would expect you to have to yell at each other to talk in the front seats. The model is a 2016, so I don't think it is a rust issue.Wind NoiseI'm still relatively new to the Class A scene. After about 4,000 miles on the road, I'm starting to wonder if the crazy loud wind noise around the windshield is normal. It is really loud on both sides of the windshield, so much so that my wife and I nearly have to yell to talk to each other. On our most recent trip, the sound was nearly completely eliminated when we had a strong tail wind, which made me think maybe we can get rid of it all the time. I just thought it was normal for a class A. We are driving a Winnebago SunstarLX 35B. Any recommendations on what we can do would be very welcome. Thanks!Re: Inverter and Solar BasicsThanks for the tips. I thought I had included my info in my signature. I guess not. Hopefully this works now. I bought it used, so I don't really know how many watts of solar I have. There are two panels and two batteries under the steps, I believe.Inverter and Solar BasicsMy newish motorhome has an inverter and solar panels. I'm not exactly sure how they work. My understanding is that the solar panels automatically charge the batteries (Do I need to turn them on?) and the inverter makes it so I can run some of the outlets off of the power from the coach's engine. I'll be diving into the encyclopedia-like manuals this weekend to try to figure it out, but thought I'd ask here for a quick "dummies" guide to get me started. Thanks in advance!
