I want to be sure I use a glue that will not dissolve or otherwise damage the Dicor. Any suggestions?Re: Gel battery safe Ah draw down percentage? The RV my friend got is a 1999 Roadtrak 190 Popular. As for the battery type, I said gel because that was what is described on the original feature list. On reflection it seems very unlikely that the original battery is still in the vehicle. Bottom line--I don't know what's in there. I haven't seen the RV yet so I don't even know how many batteries there are. Any suggestions as to the best battery (batteries) to use? TIA, njbGel battery safe Ah draw down percentage? My camper has flooded lead-acid batteries and I know that the best practice is to avoid depleting the Ah capacity by more than 50%. A friend just got an RV with a gel battery. Does the same draw down percentage apply to gel batteries? TIA, njbRe: Sure Power Model 1314 Battery Separator wiring questionThank you MEXICOWANDERER and RoyB for the detailed replies. I will deal with this over the winter. After posting the query I discovered a Hellroaring 95150B I bought a few years ago. I think I'll swap out the 1314 for the Hellroaring unit. Thanks again, njbSure Power Model 1314 Battery Separator wiring questionThe installation instructions for this unit specify 6 gauge wire if the distance to the vehicle battery is 10-20 feet as is the case with my truck camper. There is no 6 gauge wire coming from either of the two batteries in my F-250. I assume the connection to the truck battery is made through a wire in the truck's 7-pin trailer harness. I doubt that any of the wires in the harness are greater than 10 gauge and if I'm right on this I'm guessing that the battery separator isn't functioning. TIA for any comments on this? njb (I just became aware of the recall of certain 1314 separators and will be checking my serial number to see if it's on the recall list.)Re: Inverter whine - exceedingly high pitchedThanks for the replies. I forgot to mention that I am of an age where I myself don't hear the whine at all. My somewhat younger girlfriend told me about it.Re: Inverter whine - exceedingly high pitchedThanks for the reply. According to one of the YouTube videos the whine is a normal inverter phenomenon.Inverter whine - exceedingly high pitchedThere is a fairly faint very high-pitched whine from our Go Power 1750W Inverter HD when it's on. We have used it since 2006 so I know that everything is correctly wired and all connections are tight. Any ideas?
