That's a good suggestion We will do that. Thanks.Help! Rear Jacks won't retract 2003 allegro bus2003 Allegro Bus. We are looking for the hydraulic pump manifold assembly and the valve release t handles so we can manually lift the jacks. Does anyone have a clue where these can be found? We have the HWH 610 leveling system.Re: MoabFor full hook-ups, the Archview RV Resort has a superb location. About nine miles north of Moab, it is close to the entrances of both Canyonlands and the Arches National parks. It is clean and well maintained. There is a small store and gas station, laundry and bathrooms/showers.Re: If I won the mega-millions lottery I would...Establish a non-profit charity or two....one for our veterans and one for Food for the Hungry. Of course, there'd be plenty reserved for our living expenses :-)Re: Help, Need a Address! John I Haggerty wrote: Folks, We currently rent the home we are at in Maryland. We have been doing so for 17 years. We will be moving out in April. We own a RV park model in a RV park in Florida that requires 90 day vacancy per year and doesn't allow it to be a primary residence. We plan to live in the RV during the 90 day vacancy period and the park model the other 9 months. Any suggestions on how to get a primary address? Thanks, John This sounds really really odd. You OWN the park model. You rent the site. I find it very strange - do they make you move the park model off site for three months a year? That would be the only way they could dictate this policy. Perhaps the policy is for park model renters and not owners? Anyway, it appears from your statement that they do not allow you to receive mail there. If so, you need a mailing address as opposed to a home address (which is the RV Park and Lot number). The UPS option is perfect for your needs. You will get a box, go there to pick up your mail, and while you are traveling they will forward it to you upon request. Good Luck On Edit: We use a mailbox service in our hometown. We have all our mail sent there and pick it up at will or have it forwarded. They provide an address that is not considered a PO box. We can have mail or packages sent there that refuse to send to a po box. They will sign for packages requiring signature. Pretty good service. As we don't use UPS, I don't know if they provide all these services.Re: Laundry hokeypokey wrote: There's a product made by Purex. Sheets come in a box. Throw a sheet in the washer, then same sheet follows the clothes to the dryer. Detergent, Fabric Softener and Wrinkle Stop all in one ! I used those once. They left spotty residue on the clothes.Re: LaundryMy skin is sensitive. I used the campground laundry once when we didn't have full hookups and broke out all over. We have onboard w/d combo. I put in a small load at night, add some dry time in the am and put it away. Then put in an am load before we leave for the day. It keeps on top of the laundry and I spend only minutes a day on it.Re: In the course of RVing...Also hard to beat... parked facing the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia. Lobster pot on the firepit filled with salt water from the bay. Adding the fresh lobsters to the boiling water - Caeser salad on the side with a couple of bottles of Korbel Champagne ... two chairs separated by a small table and facing the setting sun and the bay. Truly a casually elegant meal.Re: Trailer instead of a small house?Rather than a trailer, get a small mobile home or modular home. Since you won't be moving it, it makes sense to have something designed as a house with all the additional insulation and features. Of course, we are assuming your reference to trailer means travel trailer not mobile home.Re: BbqI've used both electric and propane grills. (Well, charcoal too for that matter. Too messy for traveling in the RV). The electrics work well - I still use the George Foreman - but do not get that grilled flavor you get from a gas grill. We've always felt the Weber Q series to be the best, but I now have a Cuisinart table top grill. It is the cutest little thing, legs fold up underneath and it carries like a suitcase. Has a sliding lock in front and a built in lighter. Cooks enough for two and works well for us. The set up and break down is so simple and easy - unfold the legs, slide open the lock, attach the propane bottle and you are up and running. It is very lightweight, small, and fits easily into the basement.
