I thought I was pretty sharp on electrical stuff, but I’m still a little puzzled. First I don’t believe I had a “short” as not breakers were tripped in the Rv or on the pedestal. On the power cord the two flat lugs had black on them, but no pitting like it would if it shorted. I did not plug the old cord back in, but I did plug the new one in and no problems every thing checked out ok.Re: Short? Thanks for all the advice. I’m headed that way in the morning and will update what I find.Short?96 Damon Intruder 30 amp. I’m not at the campground today, but they called and said my RV had a short in it and was effecting another pedestal. They unplugged my RV. Said it was probably power cord. Never heard of this before. Bought a new power Cord today and will go to campground tomorrow and try. Any thoughts?Re: Wiring a separate plug for the rear AC Part 2I did my 1996 Damon intruder last summer. From the generator I have 2 120 volt circuits, neither went directly to the rear air. I went behind my power converter and found the wire that went to the rear air. I cut the wire and then ran wire from each side of those wires to one of my bays. I put heavy duty plugs on the ends. When I need to run the rear air I unplug the wires and plug an extension cord to the end going to the ac. When I run the generator I just plug the wires back together to complete the circuit like original. Hope this helpsRe: Rooftop AC Unit ReplacementI did mine this past summer. Used a extension ladder stretched out and slid the unit in the box up the ladder by pulling with a rope. I'm 64 and did it myself.Re: Electric GrillWe have a Weber Q electric and love it. It's not instant, you have to wait for it to heat up, but you get good grill marks and good flavor. ( your flavor comes from juices dripping on the heat not from the charcoal as many believe )Re: Bankhead Tunnel - Hwy 98 - Mobile, ALHi we travel from Hattiesbug MS to Pensacola FL several times a year. When you are on 98, go under I65 turn left and get on I65 north. In a couple of miles get off at the I165 exit towards Mobile. Watch the signs in about a mile get off. I believe it's Bay Bridge Road the signs will show the detour for trucks with hazardous waste. Stay on that road and in the middle of Mobile bay you can get on I10 with no problems. It maybe 5 mile longer this way, but faster as you don't have to deal with lights or the tunnels.Re: Rear View CameraI have owned it a couple of years and it is always on with the ignition switch. I just went to use it and no image on monitor.Rear View CameraAny help on troubleshooting rear view camera on a 1996 Damon Intruder. Ford chassi if that matters. Black and white Voyager. Monitor seems to be working, but no picture (just white snow). I ain't got a clue on how to check the camera.Re: Are spring breakers heading home from Fl this weekend? It varies from state to state and county to county.
