And two doors with this problem. I found plastic panels at Lowe's that are 1/16" thick and 4' x 8' that are less than $30. As soon as it warms up here in the RGV I am going to take a door off and start the repair. I am a full-timer, so will need to complete the job in one day.Re: Allison will not go in gearUpdate--mechanic came out, fuel filters have algae in them. So, they are changing filters and putting some additive in to kill algae. Will let you know how it goes.Re: Allison will not go in gearA little more info received. She has been at the rally about 6 days. Part she disconnected was fuel sending solenoid (repeating what she told me). It would start, but not stay running, that's the reason for disconnecting. At this time she has tried moving it with that part connected and disconnected. Then she said that she thought it was low on motor oil, perhaps as much as 4 quarts. She just came back from Florida where she had a heart attack 6 weeks ago. Probably just not paying lose enough attention to maintenance issues due to health. I advised her about the brakes. Sorry I am not more mechanically inclined. I probably was not the best person to call upon for help. Thanks for the responses. She is getting motor oil in the nearest town and will see if that solves the problem. Her next step will be the brakes as you suggested and then a mechanic.Allison will not go in gearPosting for a friend-she is at a rally that is ending. Original problem was MH would start, but not stay running. Because she had previous problems she disconnected something on engine, then MH would start and run. Seems to go into reverse and move (she cannot back up where she is parked) but when put in drive will not move forward. She has re-connected part she had disconnected. 1996 Monoco Dynasty. I suggested check to see air brake was off, recycle jacks, and check transmission fluid. Coach is running now, but does not move. Any more suggestions? She is 14 miles from nearest small town. Thanks for any help you can offer. TedTooRe: Scary Dinghy EventWe tow a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude and have had the same experience. Terrifying to say the least! I had to be very proactive in getting the required wiring harness installed. My dealer knew nothing about it. But, since having the wiring harness installed, have not had another incident. And FCA paid for the harness and installation. Good luck. Oh, we put a battery tender wired to the MH batteries on so we did not have to start the Jeep every 3 hours! TedTooRe: Need advice diesel leakI am guessing from the fuel tank area as it is towards the front of coach. Actually behind front tire area.Need advice diesel leakI am on my way to Elkhart area and have a diesel leak. Too old to crawl under and check. Do I take it to Cummins or to Spartan? Advice, please. 2000 American Dream.Re: Bad accidentOn Facebook, they are saying the passenger died. And there are pics. Terrible accident. Don't knowhowto copy from Facebook to post to here.Bad accidentJust saw the resultsof a bad motorhome accident south os Stephenville, TX on hwy 281. A very nicely painted older Prevost or bus conversion had gone off the highway and hit a very large tree on th e passenger side, causing a large limb, maybe 15 inches ormore in diameter to come off th e treeand through the roof about four feet behind the driver's side. No ambulances were on the scene, but firetruck and police were. I would be surprised if this is not a fatality accident from the looks of the passenger side. It was on a curve and I did not get any pics. Let's be careful out there, folks.Mopping up toilet water at 3 am!I have a Thetford Aqua Magic Style II toilet. Two nights ago, when I visited it, there was water all over the bathroom floor and the toilet bowl was completely full. It had obviously overflowed. When I depressed the pedal, it burped at me and the water went down. After the cleanup, I assumed that the ball had not completely closed and that caused the water to continue to run into the bowl. So yesterday, I cleaned all around the ball, removing any calcium deposits. Well, the toilet gremlin struck again last night at 3 am! This time I was careful to look at the ball and it was completely closed, but the toilet bowl was full of water and overflowing. Before tonight, what should I look for? I have a call in to a repairman, but he can't come for at least two days. I will turn off the outside water and turn the pump off and on as needed, but thought someone could steer me to the cause of this!
