Ringo, I've also used my laptop many times using the Elim3000. The laptop had a power adapter which conditions the power so it doesn't matter about the Elim AC ouput, it works fine.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I just looked at the ebay auction page and the price is $269.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I bought my Elim3000 at Pep Boys in February and it was in perfect condition. I've used it on several trips and it has worked very well even powering the AC and microwave simultaneously.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Regarding all power to a single outlet, when I got my ELIM3000 in February I plugged it into my camper and ran the 13,500BTU A/C, microwave, radio, water pump and fridge all at the same time with no problem.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Well I returned very early this morning from Sebring, Florida where I used my Elim 3000 from Thursday to Monday. I had no high power requirements as it wasn't hot enough for AC but I did use the microwave, coffee maker, TV, radio and lights. It started the first time every time and some of those starts were without the choke. Most generators in use (this was at the 12 hrs of Sebring sportscar race) were much, much louder. I probably used it about 10-12 hours in three and a half days. I think I may have used 3 gallons of gas. For my needs - a few times each year at races - it works great! I did see and spoke with a gentleman with a Yamaha EF2800i. It's a great generator and of course very quiet. But it's also $800 more. I also saw a Honda EU7000, which is also very quiet. All in all after using the Elim 3000 for the weekend I'm very happy with it.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.kabb, You can buy it at Pep Boys.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.LittleBill, No wheel kit for me. In fact, I not sure that Pep Boys even stocks it. It's not light that's for sure. DaveRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.professor95, I, personally appreciate all the work you've done in reasearching this generator. I have a low cost 1000Watt generator I bought on ebal a couple of years ago, however, when I saw the Elim3000 on ebay I almost bought it (I wasn't willing to pay $80 for shipping). I looked into it on the Elim website as the noise level a significant parameter for me. With a 67db(A)noise level I was convined. I then saw it advertised at Pep Boys and bought one about 5 or 6 weeks ago. I'll be going to Florida for a sports car race in two weeks and I'll be using the generator there. DaveRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info."I have run the AC and Microwave at the same time while trying it out after I bought it." Dave We have a buyer! What was your impression of the sound level and quality. What generator experiences do you have to compare it to? I have a 1000Watt generator I bought on ebay a couple of years ago - ($200 including shipping) at Bargain Jim's which you can also find on the web. It's not a bad generator but of course limited use at 1KW. The Elim generator is rated to operate at the same noise level. I ran both generators consecutively to see if I heard a noticible difference. I didn't and so to my way of thinking it was well worth the money. DaveRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I did buy one of these generators about a month ago. I'll be using it for the first time later this month at a race in Florida. I couldn't see spending what Honda and Yamaha want for a comparable generator. I have run the AC and Microwave at the same time while trying it out after I bought it. Dave
