Ours is set up with stock mudflaps behind the wheels. I've heard the rear bumper flap causes more damage than helps. The one time: We were on a winding mountain road and on every outside turn was a wet spot. Went for several miles and finally caught up to a caravan of three semi's. They were Harris beef ranch cattle transports. On every outside turn, green excrement came sloshing off the trailer beds! Once through the pass we pulled off the road to check our rig. The rear of the MH and the CRV were covered with cow crap! Luckily a self serve car wash was near and it cleaned up fine. Watch out for green puddles! Norm BTW- motorhomes typically have a long overhang behind the rear wheels and I think this helps keep the debris down. Hey, how does that B+ tow that CRV?, what engine etc?, very interested to hearRe: Ford Transit VanWill the transit van accommodate the same length as the sprinter If they come out with the ecoboost and I can get 15mpg I would be happy I would prefer to have the extra power when I need it and possibly towTowing with a 6 Cyl B+ SpinterIs anyone towing a small toad with a B+ 6cyl Sprinter? If so can you tell me how heavy your toad is and the performance and mileage your getting Its hard to believe that 188 hp and 325lbs tq can move a 24ft b+ and tow a small car , I'd like to hear from someone with experience thanksRe: Ram takes the lead.:BI am waiting for someone to break 450 HP and 900 lbs Torque. And then I will use it as my grocery getter 90% of the timeTowing with Sprinter C/Wet Bath in a call BI am splint between a sprinter B or C First question, it just seems like a major PIA to clean the shower room so you use the toilet in a wet bath situation, comments? second, is anyone towing a really small car, like smart car or so?, like to hear your experience traversing a grade thanksRe: Sorry GM, I switched to RAM Perrysburg Dodgeboy wrote: What is wrong with some of you people? The keys do not and have never "fallen out" of the ignition switch. The issue is if anything heavier then one key (according to GM not me) is put on the key ring and you hit a bump the ignition switch can and DOES rotate out of the RUN mode! This turns off the vehicle disables the air bags and seat belt tensors, you lose your power steering and brakes. For a full grown man this is not and issue, for a young teen male or female and most women, this is a oh-$hit moment. It can and HAS caused at least 13 deaths and GM has known about it for a very long time and did nothing to fix it! Don Yea, hes' right, this is what happened. If you can't find it, then you have not looked at the national news over the past 4 months while the GM Chairwoman has been hauled in front of congress. To the poster in North Dakota, this was clearly not a situation of people trying to make money, this was simply a GM engineering team knowing exactly what the problem was for years and will to take the "costs" in victims, which correctly above was mostly young women who had no clue what was happening an lost control of the cars Thanks GMRe: Sorry GM, I switched to RAM gmc6000 wrote: Superduty123 wrote: gmc6000 wrote: Sorry, but I don't buy this key issue. First I guarantee not one of these vehicles turned off on there own with the keys that came equipped with the vehicle. Not going to happen. Is it GM's fault that these idiots added 5 extra pounds of******to the key chain? No it is not. I also would not expect a key switch to last 10 years. Great if it does, but not something I would expect. Secondly, I have yet to ever see a vehicle that if it was powered off, I could not steer or stop with the brakes. People need to be accountable for their own stupidity. Dude, your really have no clue. Would a 16 year old girl know what to do when the key falls out and the steering wheel locks. do some research and see how many people died with this key falling out and the engineering team knew full well it was a problem. I have been driving for 42 years and with probably 30 different or more vechiles, I have never seen anything like that. To think that a friggn key can fall our because the lock is worn out after 10 years is BS (most of these cars were less than 6 years old) you haven't looked at any of the facts. As I said before, you can point to all the manufacturers but GM is by far the one with the most epidemic issues around safety and quality First off, keys just don't fall out on their own. Second, unless the transmission is in park, the steering wheels don't lock, designed that way. I have seen the so called "facts". In this day and age of "Its somebody else's fault", I don't believe most of these stories. Yea, and the world is flat Oh, and BTW, GM has signed an memorandum of findings of the court admitting to the fact that they knew about the keys falling out of the ignition, locking steering wheels and causing the accidents. They are simply in the phase now of trying to figure out how many accidents there where and how many people where effected. The court hired the law firm that settled all the Florida oil spill claims to arbitrate the settlement You don't seem to know any of the facts. Do people look for a freebie and blame other people in this country for financial gain, all the time But in this situation genius the company has admitted to the facts, fired the engineer in charge (who is taking the 5th) and is settling the claims Now,as the other posted said, most of these cars where driven by a demographic of younger people and especially young woman If your daughter died, when they knew for years it was a problem, would you want to take a settlement, or go find the SOB who was responsible and settle it that way Keep blowing smoke up there in the north, you must need the heatRe: Sorry GM, I switched to RAM gmc6000 wrote: Sorry, but I don't buy this key issue. Right now I am driving a 2012 Grand Cherokee Hemi, and looking for another truck. The only thing I will say is Dodge/Ram/Jeep have gone light years since 2011 on the interiors, the Jeep is an overland and just amazing and so are the new Rams. As far as the chevy I owned, good engine, lousy truck, not sure I would buy another gm product I have real issues with a company where the keys fall out of the ignition and nobody will own up to it All the manufactures have taken advantage of the public, but I will say that GM has a history of repeatedly knowingly not addressing safety problems and willing to take the financial hit of lawsuits versus the cost of fixing the problem upfront. What happened with this key issue, with the GM engineers knowing for certain keys were falling out of the switch is just unforgivable to me. Yes, Ford got caught with their pants down on the Pinto. But to show GM how i feel, i will vote with my wallet. I realize tomorrow something could come up regarding dodge and or ford about knowingly sending people to their deaths. But right now GM (again) is in the hot seat and I think more people should let these idiots know that some of us actually care that people died because they knew good and well they had a problem and they were willing to accept the liabilities of injuries over the cost of fixing it seems like several vehicle's are having switch problems now and it still sucks but ya might have one soon your self . what will you say then? chevman Hmmmm, button, no key needed what about the fords that started to burn because of the cruise control problem. It is not just a one brand problem, silly to even think it is. We all want the best we can get for safety so I like recalls. chevman
