I bought the white vinyl tire covers (Camco, ADCO) about 8 years ago. They have cracked and torn and need replacing. I see some new type canvas covers with a wire hoop on the market now for a lot less $. Has anyone tried these? Or do you have any recommendations for other covers that last longer than the typical vinyl ones? Thanks so much!Re: OEM Tires 2004 BT CruiserThanks tp all~ I did find the sticker with tire data. It was inside the cabinet over the sofa in the slide out. I purchased the correct tires, but they are Cooper tires--not Michelins. That is the difference. The front tires were inflated to 65 lbs, rear 80 lbs. The installer asked me and I checked after them to be sure. I just don't get the sure-footed response that I did from the Michelin tires. :-( I actually get nervous sometimes where I was confident before. I appreciate the information on the Michelin OEM tires; that is exactly what I was looking for! I will check pressures again when the tire covers come off in May. And will drive it again this year with these tires to evaluate their performance further. I'll probably have to drive 5-10 mph slower to feel confident again. We'll see.Re: OEM Tires 2004 BT CruiserHmmm. No sticker near the slide, but there is a sticker in the cabinet above the sink. I'll take a look at it when I get outside. Thanks!OEM Tires 2004 BT CruiserDoes anyone know the OEM Tire specs for a Gulfstream BT Cruiser 2003 or 2004? I replaced the tires last year, but did not purchase Michelins (which is what Gulfstream used initially), but the RV is a lot harder to handle now. The tires don't grip like the OEM's did, and in windy and/or wet conditions I don't feel confident driving it. I'm seriously considering replacing them with the original equipment, or equivalent Michelins and selling these at a loss. I would seriously appreciate any help. (In retrospect I should have at least written down the OEM specs.:SRe: What did you do to your Class C MH today???I removed tire covers and moved it to the blacktop. Hubby washed and hand waxed it. Getting it ready for our annual spring trip.Re: You MIGHT be an RV'r if . . ....you spend more time decorating, cleaning, and upgrading your RV than your stick house ...you fix up your yard and hookups so you can camp at home ...you can fall asleep in the RV without meaning to, but not in the stick house ...you barely get finished planning one mod before beginning another ...you can't go shopping without checking out something you might be able to use in the RV Ain't life grand! :WRe: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Past week: Had new carpet installed in cab, living room and bedroom. Looks great! Installed room darkening shades on the interior side of the white pleated shades in bedroom. (My own version of day/night shades. LOL) Moved the vent in the battery compartment to make room for a 2nd battery. Installed door opener bar to inside of door, and clear plexi slide and stationary piece in preparation for plexi screen door covers. (To be installed next week.) Also hung organizer baskets on the inside of the closet door to store small items. Hung some art on the living room walls. It is really starting to look like home. ;- )Re: You MIGHT be an RV'r if . . .EXACTLY!! And you don't mind it at all.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???This past week: cut a 3" foam topper to fit RV queen and placed it on bed along with new blanket and quilt. (Mattress was new RV short queen w/out Euro top and a bit too firm.) Hung matching mirrors on opposite sides of bed, removed ugly, non-matching, art print (left by previous owners) from bedroom wall, painted frame "stainless steel" to match hardware in coach - replacing picture with matching, more modern art. Installed new digital thermostat. (We modified a Hunter programmable, with Indiglo illuminator, to enable turning A/C from low to high by adding a tiny toggle switch. DH did a great soldering job!) The temperature is much more constant and comfortable now. Installed a retractable clothesline (like the ones in expensive hotel bathrooms) in the bathroom shower area. Installed an accessory shelf for the electronics remotes next to sofa. Mounted fan remotes in convenient locations in both LR and Bedroom for easy access. (Had Shurflo Platinum fans installed last summer and LOVE THEM!)Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Ran the engine, exercised the generator and took some newly purchased items in and put them away. Can't wait till spring break (second week in March) to take her on the first trip of the season (to a warmer place)!
