All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: YosemiteJust curious, I was looking at the NPS site for camping in Yosemite. I know they have been booked for along time. On the availability chart it shows dates as reserved marked with an R. Then some of the sites Show an X on the date but gives no availability to reserve . Then on the same site will show a R on a later date. Very confusing. Also is it possible if you check frequently you might catch an open site after someone cancels.YosemiteJust got conformation that I received a 7 day pass reservation to Yosemite. We have a 25 foot motorhome A Forest River Forester 2014. It will be almost a 2000 mile trip to just get there. My only plans so far are to stay in Lee Vining for at least 4 nights. And enter on the East side. My thoughts are to then move to the west side for a few days. Ideally would then go to Kings Canyon and Head home from there. My reservations in Yosemite start on September 14. Any suggestions or advice on routes to take, COVID info and areas to see would be greatly appreciated. Age and health issues limit us to just enjoying beautiful scenery..Re: 2016 Forest River Forester ws mbs low water drainFinally found them and they were a chore to pull down. They are inside a round hatch on the fresh water tank cover. They were pushed way up inside and pushed to the side, which was why I didn’t see them the first 3 times I looked. Next year it won’t be such a chore to drain them. Thanks for all of the suggestions.2016 Forest River Forester ws mbs low water drainTrying to find the low water drain. Some posts suggest it is with the fresh water tank drain, which is inside a circular hatch on the bottom of the water tank. Have looked extensively and can’t find it there. Have also looked under neath on the passenger side behind the door.. can’t find it.Curb weightWe are trading our class A for a 2016 Forest River 2401w with the Mercedes Diesel engine. We tow a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd which has a curb weight of around 4600. Our new rig is rated to tow at 4200/350. Do I really have to get rid of my Jeep? I know that I am going to have to trim down what we put in there as these rigs can’t carry a lot. We have never had a diesel RV. Our advancing age is pushing us to go smaller in hopes we can continue this for many more years and share the driving more. I like the freedom a toad vehicle provides us for exploring but may just do without if I can’t tow my Jeep.Military Campgrounds & GrandchildrenMy husband and I received our DOD cards a little over a year ago when I realized he qualified since he is a 100% DAV service connected. We have taken our 13 year old granddaughter on one trip staying at milatary Campgrounds. Planning on taking our older18 year old granddaughter next summer. Does entrance criteria change since she is an adult? Thank you in advance.Re: Mobley Administrative FeesAs I said before I am not tech savey. I have spent some time rereading the posts. I think the best solution for us is the Netgear device. Is it really as simple as moving the SIM card to the new device. If it’s anymore technical than that I’m sunk.Re: Mobley Administrative FeesI do believe the Hulu rep said the changing ip address is the problem with the Mobley hotspot. Even though there is only 2 of us the addition of the smart tv has pushed our 5 device limit to to the max. Came across some forum last night talking about att and SIM cards in non Mobley devices. The question being debated was would att cancel your plan if you moved the SIM card.Re: Mobley Administrative FeesI am not tech savey. I have a mobley which when not traveling it is our only WiFi at home. I run it through my old Centurylink router so I can connect with my eprinter. It works great for most of our devices. Got a smart tv this week and this is my first exposure to Netflix which works great on the Mobley. Tried to hook up Hulu but it would not work. Technical support says it won’t work on hotspots because they constantly search and change locations. We live directly under an ATT tower but they said that didn’t matter. It still sensed location changes. Anyway around this?New Tow CarWe just bought a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is all ready set up to tow. The man we bought it from was not the original owner and so could not answer some of our questions. I stopped by a Jeep dealership today and had him look at the set up. (Tried to post pictures but couldn’t.). It has a fast way breakaway installed., blue ox baseplate, and a round 6 point electrical plug in and inside above the brake pedal extra wiring has been inserted to the brake which the technician indicated went to the 6 point plug in. He stated that when the motorhome is connected to the tow car that when the brakes are applied in the MH that an electrical current activated the electric brakes on the tow car.. the electrical plug in from our 2010 Itaska suncruiser is not a round 6 point plug but is oblong. I say all this to ask the question if we changed to a round 6 point plug would that activate the brakes on the tow car or is there more wiring needed to our motorhome? Sorry if this sounds so confusing.
