I'd rather have the bunk plus we use it for extra blankets, etc.Re: Insurance recommendations for Class CI went with Good Sam. They put me with General RV Ins. I have a 2016 31W Class C. On the months that it is in storage in my garage, I pay under $30 per month (must be 30 day period in storage). Check them out.Re: Leveling KitGosh, I just read the original posting about the different kind of jack systems. Googled the difference, understand what each type does. We just purchased a 2016 Chateau 31W and I have no idea what type of jacks it has.....how do I find out?Re: Cab-over storage - cabinets vs bunkwe just purchased a new class C with a full sized cabover, but it had the entertainment center you are describing. Our tech guy at the dealer said it is very easy to take out that entertainment center and convert back to full cab over sleeping area. He is ordering the bed cushions from the factory and will rehang the TV on a swing arm. He said that cabinet is just a box that is inserted in the cab area and easy to remove. I'll let you know how it worked......haven't gotten a date for pickup yet.Re: changing overhead entertainment center to a cab over bedThanks Samven, Its a chateau 31W......I did talk with the tech guy, and the space is the same as if there were already a queen cabover bunk. The entertainment centers is like a box just fitted into that space with 2 large storage cabinets on either side of the centered TV. He said he would just slide the cabinet box out, reset the TV and the cushions that make up a queen bed will fit. I am just hoping they don't tear the padded ceiling when taking out the box. Wonder if anyone else ever had this done to a class C?changing overhead entertainment center to a cab over bedHi folks, we recently traded our tag along for a new class c motorhome. If we buy stock, what the dealer has on his lot as opposed to ordering (which will take several weeks, they are saying it is an easy fix to take out the overhead entertainment and put in a queen sleepover bed. They will remount the TV to a swing arm and change all the wiring for the TV. Thier tech man says it is an easy job, they will just order the bed parts from the factory. Is this wise to do and do you think it will turn out alright or are we asking for problems down the road. Thanks for taking the time to read and answer.Question on transmission optionsWe are looking at a 2014 Jamboree Sport 31M. It has a 5 speed transmission, so my question is.....what is the real difference in handling between a 5 speed vs a 6 speed?Re: Wireless impact driver for manual stabilizer jacksYes, we bought the 18v drill, put it in the camper but we used the hand crank for our first trip. The hubs wanted to get the "feel" of how the stabilizers felt when cranked down before he tried the drill. Didn't take that long at all and worked out fine. So our next trip we will try he drill. In the end, we now have a new drill set which we probably needed anyway as the old set just wouldn't keep a charge.Re: Surge protectors 50 or 30 or bothGood point Happy. There is a camping world about 60 miles from me, so I might take a trip there.
