And I'm doing so is metal bar that holds the batt down ended up touches both posts. So it had to have kicked the breaker somewhere. I have looked everywhere on this motorhome and can't find the breaker box anywhere. Does anyone have any idea where it could be?and bigger question is do you think it could have fried the system when it crossed or would have a breaker saved it?1998 Gulf Stream Conquest help!!So I just got a new '98 conquest. Everything inside worked good when I bought it and today I took it out to the local shop and had the propane tank filled. Before the employee filled it he asked me where the master shut off was and of course I don't know. He looked inside the passenger door and inside the main door and said he couldn't find it and just filled the tank. I got the coach home and when I tried the power steps there was no power. I tried the lights and no power. I started the engine and still no power. Does anyone know where the master power is or what could cause this? Sorry if it's a dumb question but this is my first coach.Electric help.Just got a 1991 cornado. It needs two new coach batteries so I took them out to go get new on Monday. In the meantime I plugged the motorhome into a generator so I could check things out and nothing will work at all. Checked all breakers and fuses and all seem good. Would the batteries being out have anything to do with it?Re: ADVICE PLEASEThank you everyone for the input. First I will be getting 2 new deep cycle batteries this weekend and go from there. To answer a few questions: it is a 33' and I knew I could tell which brakes it has by looking. I'm just a little over 2 hrs away from it now and I didn't know if there was a standard style brakes for this model. As for the trade I traded a 2000 F350 7.3 w/256,000 miles. Ran great but has pretty bad body rust. I think I got the better end of the deal even with the minor problems with the motor home. It has no water leaks at all and is very clean. Just has these small things which I hope with new batteries it will be fixed. Thanks everyoneADVICE PLEASEI took a 91 fleetwood Coronado on a trade. It has been sitting not running for 2.5 yrs. I had to change the fuel pump and clean tank and now it runs good. Few problems: first Is I can't get the interior lights to come on at all. I'm pretty sure one of the two aux batteries are bad. But shouldn't one at least turn on a light? Also I can't get the gen to even start to roll over. Once again I believe it's battery related. Question is though are there and switches or anything I should know about? I know there a main power and aux power switch above the door but is there anything else? Last question. Has anyone ever changed the rear brakes? Are they disk or drum and what chassis would I say at like autozone to get pads and stuff. It's a Chevy 454 motor. Lastly. I'm trying to convince my self that even with these minor problem the camper was worth the trade. What would any say a 91 Coronado with 454 w/37,000 miles onan 5k gen be worth roughly. ThanksRe: Running rough fleetwood cornadoThanks for that. It's not very far from me either!Re: Running rough fleetwood cornadoThanks everyone for all the help. When I bought it last week it had a quarter tank in it and I have since filled it to a little over 3/4 now. I have someone coming to change the fuel filter and do a pressure test on wendsday. The motor has the Tbi in it so if the filter dosent help then next is a Tbi rebuild and then injectors. Today I did start it and put it in reverse and moved it about 10' then back in forward just to try to move stuff around. It did seem to help a little. But not sure if it was that or the fact I have it about 90% throttle a few times and revved it way up. Last question. Does anyone know of a good mechanic in the Salt Lake City Utah area? I'm young but unfortunately I have kidney failure and can't do much due to weakness. All this has to be done by a mechanic. Thank you all!!Running rough fleetwood cornadoI'm new here so if this post is in the wrong spot im sorry Just got a 92 motor home that has a 454 in it. Hasn't been run or started in 2 years. I've put seafoam and 15 gallons of gas in it. It will start east and run but you have to feather the throttle to keep it running. If you let off it will die. However if you spray starter fluid in directly it will stay running. Any ideas what to check. I asked on Chevy page and some said the idle control valve. I had a guy look at it today and he said it's not that. Motor has 37k on it. When it was running and I was outside by the exhaust it sounded like it was skipping a little.
