The ones that crank out from the bottom, probably not a big issue. They are the ones that slide up and down.. i have been calling campground since this morning and no answer... working 12 hour days and its been raining like hell past two days. no way up to camp...im pretty sure i closed them, but not 100%... I do know last week when i camped it rained like heck out and all my windows were open and no rain got it. so i assume the inside should stay dry just incase i did open...arghhhhhhhh.Windows open in the rain?????Quick question. My camper is about 1.5 hrs north of me right now.. its left on my seasonal site in upstate NY... i closed up camper yesterday for the week and will not be back up there till this friday.. It has been pouring since yesterday.. I am now wondering and thinking that i might have left one or both of my front bedroom windows open.. I cant remember if i closed them or not yesterday.. My question is, are these windows meant to drain and be open during rain storms? I am assuming that the worse that can happen is that i might get some rain that drips on the inside wallpaper? and am I chancing any major water damage in one weeks time if the two windows are indeed open?(camper is aluminum frame)..... no one that i know is in the campground during the week who can check for me, but i hate to waste a 4 hour round trip after a long days work just to find out its indeed closed... what would you do????Re: How to remove bottom step???since im not handy, do you think just a normal rubbermaid two step stool would work? probably can find one at walmart i would think.Re: How to remove bottom step???thanks. didnt think of making new wooden one..im not very handy, but seems like a good idea.Re: How to remove bottom step??? Or I can just leave as-is????How to remove bottom step???My two year old camper is on a seasonal campsite for this summer.. I had the campground put in a deck outside.. with the deck right up to the doors the stairs wont pull down all the way and i have to keep the bottom step folded up. Campground maintence person said all i have to do is drill out the rivets on the bottom step and then when i leave in the fall i can put bolt and nut on there and it will work like new.. is this true? any ideas??Looking for help with resealing windows2 year old camper... just had question on the windows.. Looks like factory installed black butyl tape underneath. I am assuming windows are fine still after two years.. couple questions though, how does one assure that a window is ok and not leaking? are there noticable signs of leakage usually when it comes to windows? once again, everything looks ok now, just wondering in the future. When i redue the windows in a couple years. do i just remove the window and redue with new butyl tape and call it a day, or can i just leave window as-is and put proflex around the whole window and leave the old butyl tape on it? thanks again...Re: Will magnet stick to fiberglass??? Pangaea Ron wrote: You could add a strip of 2" wide painters tape at the bottom of the slide-outs to form a drip edge when they are deployed, and remove it when it's time to suck them back in. Cheap and easy. Thats actually a good idea...cheap and easy.. and wont leave a lasting mark.. I wonder if the water would drip right off it...worth a try.... good idea.Re: Will magnet stick to fiberglass???Paul, what are you doing with the gorilla tape? under your wood? or using it to hold a drip edge?Re: Bubbles in new ProflexLOL burbman.... me also.... it looked awful.... oh well. next time i use that proflex i will make the hole smaller... atleast i know the proflex is on there.. boy that stuff is good.. im gonna put a bead right underneath that trim piece on the bottom of the slide.. i dont trust water wicking its way around that bottom slide trim... a bead of proflex should seal it up nice and good... I suppose..
