Monaco Monarch Question
We have been searching for our first RV and found this Class A. Does anyone have experience with the Monaco Monarch model 33SFS? The one we found is a 2010 that looked pretty good inside. Seemed to be well taken care of. Had 10,000 miles on it. Where can I find out the insulation level used in this coach? What do we look at as far as the mechanical features. Thanks again to all who provided input. Had a serious talk with a guy at a dealership today and the topic of Class B driver licenses came up. He told US some states require a Class B drivers license for rigs weighing over 26000 pounds. He gave us this web WWW.TRUCKERCOUNTRY.COM where you can do practice tests for the Class B license if needed. This is an upscale place that sells and stores RVs. Well, Haven't decided yet between Class A or Class C but have found some good prices on new 2015 year units at dealers. I was shocked at how much less they are now - nearly 50%! Went to San Antonio and Ancira had some of these. They were Class A's one Fleetwood looked pretty good. I had another question. Is trouble with tires more frequent with any certain type of RV? All this is really great folks. Much to consider. Please keep them coming. Dutch, In your experience is the Class A easier to setup-break down than the other Classes? What towing setup are you using. We were told the gear needed to tow a car behind a Class A was very heavy and could be hard for us to move around. Good point about the Class C in having to setup every time you sight see.
