WHY would they even touch the refer????? 2. Maybe YOU did not get the refer secured and when they did indeed operate the slide the scenario you listed happened? That makes it your fault. BUT, the tech should have called his supervisor and showed the problem and they then called you. Not just shove the parts inside the refer. 3. I fail to see why they have to replace the refer. Just the doors where damaged? 4. THIS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS GO INSIDE AND AROUND YOUR RV WHEN YOU PICK UP THE RV. DON'T HAVE TIME? BS. YOU CANNOT SPEND 5 MINUTES DOING THIS? Doug I delivered the camper with slides closed and fridge secured. What they do while it's on their property is their responsibility. They said frame of fridge is bent. I should have checked it better and usually do, but we were headed out on a trip and it was 1630 and tire shop closed at 1730...didn't have much choice bCamping World Oakwood GA damaged by fridge...advice?I'd like opinions on how to proceed: September 6th: Dropped our camper off at CW as our extended warranty was nearing the end. Had a bad propane regulator and stove hinge broken. Camper was finally ready October 5th. October 5th: FINALLY picked up camper. When they pulled it around, left rear tire was FLAT. They aired it up and I noticed some sidewall cracking. Tire held air and beat feet to get new tires installed. Finally get home that evening from new tires and get inside camper. First thing I notice is that the faux panel on the fridge has slid down and touching the floor. I open the fridge and there are two trim pieces of fridge INSIDE the fridge. I am beyond 100% POSITIVE that there was no damage. We had just returned from camping on September 5th and unloaded fridge/freezer. October 6th: I call CW to talk to service adviser. He was out and asked for voice mail. October 11th: Returned from camping and took camper back to CW. October 21 (today): Had called twice this week without a return call. FInally drove the 40 minutes to CW. I was told that there was a policy that issues MUST be reported within 2 weeks of service. I explained it was only 6 days. Then they said that they wouldn't cover it because I couldn't prove to them that I didn't do it. They had told me that the fridge frame was warped and fridge would need to be replaced. They asked if it could be repaired, would I be ok with that. I said if it could be repaired and work 100% like it did when I dropped it off, I would be fine. They asked if it has to be replaced, would I pay for half? I told them that I didn't break it, so no. My theory: If fridge door is left open and super slide retracted...the dinette base will hit fridge door. It's the reason I either make sure it is closed or bungeed before slide retracted. I think they left it open while retracting slide. Advice???Re: Fine for dumping RV tanks in a storm drain??? GordonThree wrote: Only reason the hazmat crew was called out was because of the bus's paint job... a chance for some folks to get their 15 minutes in the national spotlight. Just a few weeks ago a local hardware store deliver truck dumped gallons and gallons of oil paint on the road because they took a corner too fast and lost control of their load. What was the governments response? They sent a firetruck out to pressure wash the road; they blasted all that toxic paint right into a storm drain. No fines, no jail time, no investigation into the hardware store. The driver wasn't even ticketed. No television news crews showed up. The local paper did shoot a 30 second video spot on it. I can ASSURE you that the reason that HAZMAT was called out had nothing to do with who was on the side of the bus. Nobody on scene knew for almost 30 minutes about the cell pictures and what the bus had on the side. FACTS: The bus was gone before the first Lawrenceville PD arrived. When he got their, there was dried toilet paper and obvious fecal matter on the asphalt and sidewalk. The storm drain feeds a stream that flows through a neighborhood less than 200 yards of the street. The "waste" was contained by booms and removed. I can assure you the costs of materials alone is more than $5000. Fortunately, state law allows for governments to charge private entities for the cost of specialty responses. How to run hot water to outside? We are purchasing a lot in a camping community where we will leaving the camper all the time (not living in it fulltime). We will be installing a metal carport over it and building a deck alongside the camper. Wife wants an "outdoor dishwashing area", and I want to know how to run hot water to it? Where is the best place to run the line from? ThanksRe: Relocating and rewiring bath fan switchThanks y'all...guess I was making it more difficult than it needed to be.Relocating and rewiring bath fan switchWe have an exhaust fan in the bathroom of our Keystone Copper Canyon. Problem is that the switch is a push button, and it's mounted on the fan housing. i'd like to rewire the fan to a wall mount switch where it can easily be reached by everyone. 1) What type of switch do I need to buy? 2) What's the process of doing this? Thanks in advance
