You can read it here: 28853744No class B+ around here?I went to a few of the big RV places near me to at least check them out. To my surprise, neither had ANY B's at all! I do see many online, but we know how pics can make them look like a steal when in reality, the are a bust. I am hoping to find a nice late 1990's to around 2005 era. Trail Lite or similar looks like a practical rv for me and my dog :) . JeffMonaco mid 90's thoughts?Still on the search for a MH. After going for a ride and looking over a 2005 Bounder DP, I passed on that as I wasn't impressed with the overall quality(and the big price). Lately, I have been watching youtube videos on mid 90's Monaco DP's and they sell for like 1/3 of what I previously looked at in the Bounder. Now I really like what I see with them, including the side mount radiator. Being a furniture maker, I couldn't help but appreciate the woodwork. I really like the layout over most other makes of MH's that I have seen. Sure, a slide or 2 would be great, but the Monaco seem to utilize the space well without feeling cramped. So, I guess what I would like to know is, besides the usual things(tires, shocks, etc), is there any things to consider or not consider with these older Monacos? I do like the full body paint too. ThanksRe: Buffalo to Tampa areaI agree on avoiding I-79 near Pittsburgh, it can get a little crazy with the winding road and traffic. It is bad enough in a pickup.Re: Thoughts on this DPYep, it is a scary amount of money for me. I realize diesel engines last for 500k miles, but if the coach is pretty much scrap after 20, why pay? I like the diesel pros such as power and mpg, but I really know little about them. Now gas engines, I know pretty well.Re: Thoughts on this DP rctour wrote: When the seller doesn't detail the year of the vehicle or mileage, it's time to look else where. He did list the year in the description. I just came back from checking it out. The front tires are about a 1-2 yrs. old but the rears are due. The gen has like 400 hrs if I recall and the miles are in the 40K range. It was his fathers, who passed in the spring and is selling for his mother. Very nice, but as I stated, out of my league pricewise. Very nice, 30 something guy and is going to take me for a ride soon. He realizes that it is a big purchase and doesn't really expect anyone to jump on it. At least I can get a feel for what a giant like that is about :)Thoughts on this DPWell this is pretty much way over on what I was even considering, but things could happen if needed....maybe. Here is the link and I am on my way to look at it right now since it is very local. Is this priced accordingly for this DP? http://erie.craigslist.org/rvs/4134553816.htmlRe: Is this a good deal? Thanks. I asked the seller/dealer a question if there is a drop and haven't heard back. I should have asked what the date codes are on the tires. Doesn't a tag axle mean much bigger tolls as well? *Update*........1st off, the reserve is $26K, which is way over what I have seen them go for.. Wow, I didn't expect that much. I ended up calling them and the salesman was pretty clueless on the tires, brakes, frame, etc. Oh well.........Re: Is this a good deal? RVUSA wrote: I wouldnt get near that rig, the frame is buckling. Class A gassers with the front slide out are really prone to the frame buckling right where the rear part of the slideout is. Gassers with the tag are really bad for it. follow the trim piece that runs from front to back and notice that it begins to tilt and run downhill from the back of the slide to the rear of the rv. You can also see the stripes that run along the roofline as well. That sag might be an illusion too as it doesn't show in the other pics. Camera angle can play tricks. From research and opinions from many MH owners, maybe I should avoid having a tag axle.
