Questions about Cruise America Thor Majestic 23A coach battery. 1) What manufactures, size and type battery did your 23A come with? Mine came with a a Lifetime AGM Deep Cycle Group 31. 2) Was your battery just on the battery tray or did it come with a strap and/or any protection from road debris/elements? 3) Have you replaced your battery and if so, what did you decide to go with? Did you stay with an AMG or go the traditional flooded deep cycle?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Good luck! Swing back by if you have any questions. Anyone know how to re-enable this? The black rectangle behind the bike rack on my 2005 28R is the backup sonar. I unplugged the connector behind it because the rack and car-in-tow would set it off. Also the backup beep comes from the bulbs in the tail lights. When I put the transmission in reverse the backup lights turn on and the beeping starts. eldel - New news to me but yesterday, I was in the process of cleaning my reverse light lenses and found one of these under one: Beeping Reverse Light One of the other forum members mentioned that he/she thought that this was the case so I wanted to validate that statement. I'm never at the back of the coach when in reverse so I've never thought about this.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? I may not have to remove the base of the seat depending what under there, but just the seat back in order to recline the drivers seat a bit more. Again, thanks for everyone's contribution to this thread. Your efforts greatly put my mind at ease. Booner - I picked up a 23A from Federal Heights in July. I sent you a Private Message. I opened both dinette seat compartments to clean. As others mentioned I can confirm that on the 23A, the Fuse Panel, various wiring, seatbelts and anchors and the storage tube for the dinette table is under the seat directly behind the driver.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? Here is my take on tow/haul. In the 23A when we are just taking bicycles and not pulling a tow dolly, I do not use tow/haul. I set the cruise about 67 and sit back and relax on the highway. We just got back from Hot Springs, AR and pulled a car. The whole trip with the car and dolly, I was in tow/haul.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? eldel wrote: More information - I got the fluid analysis reports today. The lubrication reports (engine, transmission and generator) are OK but the coolant one is way out of line. So either it hasn't been changed in forever or I have an upcoming engine issue. I've asked CA to check their records to see if they have any information on when it was changed last. Let's see what they come back with. Per the CA national parts manager, the solar is near worthless for an owned coach but does well for a rental that is on the go all the time. He also told me the factory controller could not handle a larger cell. He said that when the go bad on the rental units they do not fix them. My Solar Charging light has never worked since my purchase so I suspect the Chinese cell is bad or the control panel. The replacement cost for parts was reasonable but I figure that it would be better to sped the money upgrading the CA cell.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Ex Cruise America rental owners, did your battery come in a plastic battery box? What size battery did your coach come with?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. I'm going to power it from the marker light but I'm unsure about the best way of fastening the mount to the body. 4 holes and self tapping screws? Epoxy? Other? Ideas gratefully received. I can’t help with your installation, but would like to see how you did it and the final product.
