Experience with Sprinter Class C's
I am in the market for a small Class C or B+. We used to have a Winnebago on the Sprinter chassis, but we traded for a large trailer a few years back. Now, with my wife no longer interested in travel, I am looking for something for myself. We didn't have the Winnie long enough to get an idea of maintenance. Has anyone here had one for a while? Five or ten years, maybe? How does the reliability compare to Ford/Chevy-based campers? Cost?4.9KViews0likes13CommentsCasita vs "conventional" small trailers
I'm thinking about a small trailer and had been looking at the Rpod, Drop and Hummingbird types, but then started thinking about Casita. Does anyone have experience with the smaller "conventional" trailers vs the Casita? I know they are all small, and the Casita probably most of all. I've had a diesel pusher, Airstream, Class C, small Class C and longer trailer, so I understand the tradeoffs on size and livability. We're planning a trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway the last week in October. Instead of towing out 28-ft trailer on the parkway, we plan to stop at CG's off the parkway, get on the BRP and go 100 miles or so in a day, then return on the major highways. That will make it much more convenient for stopping when and where we want along the parkway. We're in Georgia, so we'll go to Asheville first. My question is this: where should we go next? We don't have time to do the entire BRP this way, so which sections would you all suggest for the best bang for our bucks (and time)?2.2KViews0likes12Comments
