Re: E1 error code on my dometic thermostat
AC Thermostat Reset Well I just found out that you can reset the the t-stat, which resets the computer board in the ac unit. Turn the tstat off Once off push and hold the mode and + at the same time for approx 4/5 seconds and - - (dash dash) will appear. That will reset everything. Then you can turn it back on. Problem I was having was the furnace was not turning on but if you turned it off and then back on it would work fine. As other have mentioned that they have noticed increases in their insurance carriers I did also with GEICO. I have my cars thru them and had my motorhome added back in 2012. The costs have sky rocketed the past few years and I was paying $1,100 a year for my 2012 gas motorhome. I had 20k/40k/20k with $1,000 ded. That was a rip off. No accidents, took the defensive driving course, own my motorhome. BYE GEICO I called National General sales guy and after giving him my info and emailed me a quote. I reviewed and asked for higher coverage and it cost me $550 a year. $50k/$100k/$50k $1,000 Deductible Plus lots of other stuff like trip/vacation expense coverage, etc, etc, etc. Well the bottom. Switching to National General I saved $550 a year, with higher coverage than GEICO. Oh I forgot to mention that if I do not travel and have my motorhome in storage for more than 30 days I call them and they deduct $35 for each month not in use but still have liability in case it get broken into or stolen. Hi All, I'm planning a trip this summer from Arizona to Bangor Maine and the Maritime area. I have never driven my motorhome and toad in this area and wanted to know where and what restrictions I may have. My questions are... 1. What is the best motorhome route across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Watertown CT 2. Is the Tappan Zee Bridge OK for motorhomes? 3. Is their a better route? 4. SLIDEx Georgetown has a few different models. I have a 2012 that is 38ft and has 3 slides. For someone who wants a motorhome to go out for a week or two with the family you can't beat the price. The Ford V-10 gas engine is a strong and reliable engine as well as the drivetrain. I have my 2012 for 20 months and have 23,000 miles on it. I change oil every 5,000 miles which is very easy to do yourself. I just had the transmission fluid replaced and brakes power flushed as they are for me very important for safe driving. Gas engines get about the same as the diesels so mpg should be a factor. With a smaller Georgetown you should be able to get 8mpg or better on highway. You also need to make sure, if you buy new that you are close to the dealer. Within the first few months and a few campouts you should build a list of things to get checked out under warranty. I personally will keep a close eye on the hydraulic slides and leveling system, hose, fitting, and any hose leaks. Don't worry about the Ford chassis other than regular maintenance. I would contact Forest River immediately if you feel the thing steers weird (wandering) as most of us have complained to Forest River and they pay Ford to do a frontend alignment. This needs need to be done within the first 30 days of ownership. They usually don't say a word and you send a copy of your invoice and they cut you a check. This is after you notified them and they give you a written email approval to go to Ford. This has worked wonders for me. Don't waste your money for any extended warranty. Most are over priced insurance polices that don't pay much. Here at the two people you should work with for any warranty issue. My MH was listed for $149,990 and I got it out the door with tax, lic and all the rest for under $110,000 and I made them throw in and install a washer/dryer combo for $750. I have a 2012 Georgetown XL 378TS and after 20 months and total of 23,000 my V-10 is still strong with no problems. Being a preventive measure guy I had the transmission fluid replaced and brakes power flushed at Ford. I use regular Ford 5w20 oil and replace every 5,000 miles. No problems other than Ford replaced my failed AC compressor under warranty at 22,000 miles. So the Ford V-10 legacy continues on as a solid workhorse engine in my F-53 chassis. Has anyone had any major issues with the drive train? I read here someone has a rear differential seal fail. How about the brakes? How long do they last? Keep driving and enjoying the USA. We are planning a 2 month trip in 2014 into the Canadian Maritime. New Brunswick Nova Scotia Newfoundland PEI I was wondering if anyone that has travelled up NE had Dish Network and was it possible to get any reception that far north. I have been told that most have to tilt their portable dish way down to get any reception. Is it at all possible to get any channels? I know this is a old message but I plan on getting the Steer Safe installed on my 2012 Ford F-53 chassis (242" wheel base) I have read many reviews and it seems that many have had it installed by other than the manufacturer and have had problems. Now I just happen to be going thru Deming NM where the manufacturer of the Steer Safe is located and will have them installed by them for free. This is what they say it will do and no more. "Steer Safe helps maintain control against front tire blowouts, potholes, soft shoulders, high winds, wandering, accidental encounters with curbs, and highway medians.
