I thought about somehow doing a pressure test on the line like a plumber does for natural gas at a house. Pump it up and stick a gauge on it.Propane alarms sounds at odd timesI have a 2007 Rockwood 2607 TT. For the last year my propane alarm goes off at some of the oddest times. Usually 2-3 days into my trip and always between 3:am and 6:am in the morning. I changed it out for a new one but it continues. I purchased a plug-in Home combustible gas detector and it does not sound. This existing unit is mounted 3 inches off the floor and next to the fridge and converter. I have some pet food off to the right about 3 feet. My wife thinks the food is setting it off or maybe cat breaking wind. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks, TomNew Truck 4x4 or 4x2 ??Hi Everyone, Finally going to beak down and buy a new 3/4 ton F-250. I want to buy a 1/2 ton towable 5ver so I know it will take at least a F-250. My big question...do I really need a 4 wheel drive? It's not just the matter of the money. If I don't need it why have it. I do not go boondocking in the Sahara. We pretty much stay at parks. Plus it is a few inches lower which makes it a little easier on me and the wife. So I am thinking a F-250 with the new 7.3 gas V8 with 2 wheel drive. Thanks for any and all opinions. TomReplacing sheet vinyl with rigid vinyl plankingHave a few spongy spots in the floor of our TT since I did not seal the roof properly. As this 2007 is on it's last tour of duty I am thinking about cutting out the vinyl and laying some thick rigid wood-like vinyl planking down. Anyone had issues with planking in an RV? I am a little worried about how rigid it is and if I glue it down will it "pop" loose. I know this is not the right way but 1 or 2 more trips and this guy is headed to the deer camp.Subfloor Repair GlueRepairing the famous soft spot in the floor in our bathroom. About a 3' x2' piece of Luan plywood. In this 2007 Rockwood 2607 it has a layer of luan laying across aluminum beams then another piece of luan that is set between the floor beams. I am just replaceable the top piece as the lower luan seems strong and stain free. I notice there is NO glue holding the 2 luan pieces together. Virtually no glue holding down the sheet vinyl floor covering. I am not sure what holds everything down and together. Any suggestions on inserting a 2 x 3 patch into the floor system on this one? Any help is always appreciated.Re: Noob winterization questionPersonally, I would not leave them open. I have always used a blow out adapter (Camping world http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/blow-out-hose/69232) that attaches to your water intake and allows you to run air through your lines. Just be careful how much pressure you use. I would set my compressor to a max of about 50psi. Open each faucet individually. You will be amazed at how much water comes out. Don't forget to drain the hot water heater. I usually achieve this by removing the anode rod (if so equipped) and opening a hot faucet inside to assist the speed of draining. Replace the anode rod. Then you add your RV antifreeze. Hope this helps.Re: Suburban Furnace Problems/Wont' stay litWell it is fixed!! After replacing the gas regulator the furnace is working. Strange though...the hot water heater was working on gas but the furnace was not. That is why I assumed the regulator was OK. Low and behold....it was a defective regulator. Thanks to all with your help on this one. Now I wont have to bring 3 space heaters with me on the Thanksgiving Holiday.Re: Suburban Furnace Problems/Wont' stay litCan't find a model number...It is in a 2007 Rockwood Ultralite. It is electronic ignition. I haven't figure out how to post a picture yet or I would send you one. Do you think the propane regulator could cause this? I probably just need to find a mobile RV tech in the Dallas Texas area since i am making a trip. Thanks to all.Suburban Furnace Problems/Wont' stay litI thought this may have been a converter issue but apparently not. After replacing converter I still cannot get my Suburban furnace to light. The blower comes on, the igniter clicks, a small blue flame is visible in the sight glass....and then nothing..... Any thoughts my friends? Thanks for any help given.Re: Flickering lights/Heater will not fireJust buttoned everything up for the day with no success, however, it is odd that the voltage at my battery is now 15.4 volts. This converter is all over the place. You would think with that voltage and fan speed the sail switch would stay closed. But what do i know...just an old RVer trying to save a buck. Thanks to all.
