Just more of his "If you aren't happy I'm not happy" ****. Those if you who worship him get what you deserve.Remove me from your mailing listI don't own any RV now so What do I have to do to get my name from your mailing lists? I have not been a Good Sam member for 2 years but I am still getting offers for Roadside Assistance and RV Insurance even after multiple calls over many months. I don't want nor do I need any of these products since I have sold my MH and at my age and finances will not be replacing it. I am more concerned about identity theft from my mailbox. pleasae address this issue to get it corrected. Sincerely, James Ellerman Arnold, MORe: Don't renew GOOD SAM for multiple yearsThe only thing that got signed was the check. It's just their "policy" and tough luck you can't read their minds. The renewal form that comes in the mail doesn't mention it anywhere that it can be seen. I have never been a member of any other organization that treats people that way. I'm glad that I didn't have more years to go.Don't renew GOOD SAM for multiple yearsAfter being a member since 2004, I renewed my Good Sam Club membership in 2018 for 3 more years and still have 1 full year left. I just sold my MH as I now have physical limitations that will keep me from continuing to enjoy it. I was informed in no uncertain terms that there is no way to get a refund on the unused portion of my 3 year renewal. I understand that with their rip-off road service but not for the Club. I am going to inform my state Attorney General to see if any action can be taken. I guess that is just another way for Marcus to enrich himself and another example of his poor business ethics. He always says "If you're not happy, I'm not happy". Hey MARCUS, Are you listening?Re: gulf shores to spring hill, FL - US 98Thanks for the information from everyone. We are definitely going to follow the coastline as much as possible. We have never been to anywhere along the Gulf Coast or Florida before and want to get beached out as at our ages another trip like this may not be something we can do physically or financially in the future. I have a cousin in Spring Hill who has a pad and FHUs for us to spend Thanksgiving there.gulf shores to spring hill, FL - US 98I am traveling next week from Gulf Shores through Orange Beach to Pensacola then US 98 to our destination. We intend to follow the coast as much as possible using the state roads til we get to US 98. Are there any concerns as to highways or bridges that won't allow our 36' Class A & toad? I have seen news coverage of restoration issues along Panama Beach and Orange Beach but don't know if a pass thru will be affected. I don't want to have to a long detour out of the way.Re: Workhorse 8.1 GM exhaust gasket replacementI finally found a place that would take me in. It didn't turn out as planned. After dropping it off 40+ miles away, they called to let me know that a brake line had ruptured and was leaking brake fluid on their shop floor. Ok. Maybe I dodged a bullet there but? They had it a week before calling to tell me I could pick it up. When I arrived, I got told they had to replace my newer lifetime warranty spark plug wires because they were rotten upon removal from the plugs. I had just replaced the plugs a few weeks ago and they were fine then. When I raised an objection to that issue they credited back the cost of the new wires. But they also destroyed my woven boot heat shields that I will have to eat the cost of. My opinion is that they tried to torch the RH manifold nuts without removing the wires first. When starting to leave the engine had a miss and upon my own inspection, I found 2 wires on the other bank not on the plugs but just shoved in beside them. After I got home, I went to replace the heat shield that I took off while diagnosing the exhaust leak. When I tried to unplug the "new" wires with spark plug boot pliers the right way, on 2 wires the boots just shredded which now will require me again buy a new set of wires. I was taught years ago to use die-electric grease inside the boots on both ends before installing them on the plugs, which was not done by them. At least no broken studs needed to be replaced. The replacement brake line looks like a blind guy did it the way it was routed. It will function right but looks like hell. My total cost was $947. I wasn't told they automatically add a 2% credit card fee. I found that out after getting in my coach to leave. No Posted Notice to warn you in advance. My point here is to warn RVers in the area to avoid COMPLETE AUTO & RV REPAIR in St. Charles,MO. Their website looks impressive and the shop looks good, lots of Class As on their lot, but workmanship is less than acceptable. If I could have gotten access to a torch I could have done this repair myself, so I learned to look farther for assistance in the future.Workhorse 8.1 GM exhaust gasket replacementMy 2004 HR 36' MH (Workhorse - 8.1L GM) has a bad gasket between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head only on the passenger. It does not at present have any broken studs or manifold but they are rusty enough that I do not have any confidence that I can get them off intact myself. I have called about every place that I can locate that does truck service but I get told that it's too big, too old, or it's a Workhorse with the reputation of broken studs and manifolds. Has anybody used a place near St. Louis for this kind of problem? I had planned to acquire an Ultra Tuning ECM but after talking with them and giving them the scanner data I discovered an exhaust leak that was not audible until checking fuel pressure with the doghouse open. I was advised that the ECM would not be an improvement to my low performance until the repair causing it to run lean was corrected. Help! I'm at my wit's end with frustration, unable to get anybody to consider my dilemma. I believe an acetylene torch would break the rust but I have no access to one.Re: Replacing black tank knife valve Holiday Rambler VacationerI used one of those Valterra valves with great success, from 2016 until now. I noticed today, that what must be the anti-freeze from my black tank has backed up to the point, it is now seeping into the wet bay along with whatever else didn't get flushed out before winterizing dripping through the screw-in floor plug onto my driveway. I need to replace the seal in the valve or the valve itself. How can I access the valve? It is enclosed in a compartment, with no panels inside or outside that are visible. From what I can see, removing the wet bay control panel is not feasible, because of the dump valve cables being fed through it. HELP!Re: US 285 Colorado / New MexicoWe enjoyed our trip on the C&T but had to do it from Raton, NM as we could not climb US160 from Walsenberg, CO. due to a bad O2 sensor and check engine light. Nobody seems to stock it even though it fits 10 years of GM vehicles. I have an OBDII code scanner so I can erase the light to to be able get home. 3 times so far. So we are limping back home to Missouri to regroup. Had to cancel a weeks worth of reservations in CO, NM and TX because nobody can get the part quickly or won't schedule the repair soon enough. I can fix it at home when I can get parts there and my own tools. Wish us luck.
