The berries were the size of walnuts, and there was absolutely no signs of anything getting in through the roof a.c units. There would have been some berries, leaves or something that it couldn't have squeezed in. There were only a few turds, but that was it. I don't know how else that it could have gotten in though?Re: Pack Rat?Don't think a squirrel could have gotten in. I will usually use D-COn inside the motorhome with sticky traps. I normally don't put anything inside the inside ac unit, as I have never had issues with mice or rats in there before. I will sprinkle rat poisen around and underneath the motor home next week.Re: Pack Rat?There was no evidence of them getting through the roof ac's. The berries that it brought in were the size of walnuts, and there was no evidence of any sort that it got in through the AC unit. I do use steel wool in openings and havent had a mouse problem since I sealed everything up. There were literally 30 or more of these berries, along with leaves and rat poop directly above the ac vent. I just dont know how it got in.Pack Rat?Went to the storage yard this week, and found that something had been in my AC units INSIDE the coach making two nests. There were leaves, and these little pumpkin looking berries, about the size of walnuts. There had to be at least 30 of them in the grill of the AC unit. There was also rat poop all over inside, as well as pieces of the styrofoam insulation. There was at least 2-3" in the slide portion of the quick chill vent. I checked the AC units up on the roofs, and could not see ANY evidence of it getting in that way. Both were very clean, with only a hint of any poop. How else can they get into the AC area and the ceiling ducting. I didn't see any other evidence behind the fridge, or anywhere on the engine, etc. Nothing else at all in terms of where they could have gotten in. I am stumped. I also did not know that the two ac units shared a common ductwork. It somehow traveled from the bedroom to the living room, or vice versa. Weird.Re: Tree branch took out Driver's mirrorHopefully your screws will seat tightly. I had to remount mine and the wood had some water damage and the screws were difficult to tighten. I tried bigger screws, lagbolts, etc and finally had to run bolts all the way through with a backer plate. Not pretty but it holds tight now.Re: How Ironic....Glad everyone is OK. Not much to laugh at.Re: Finding propane while travelingSome UHaul places have propane too. That is where I buy mine.Re: 12 Volt versus 6 volt-Rarely boondockThanks all, I have decided that I will probably just do one 12V for now. Too many other items to fix, ie; ride height control valve leading, ladder just broke Sunday, roof leak, Drivers side mirror coming off due to a long ago window leak, Wife wants new wood floor and carpet inside, refinishing all bright gold hardware to a brushed nickel, replacing all bright gold lighting fixtures with brushed nickel LED's, Oil change, fuel filter change, etc..........Re: Need more coolingIF you have the quick cooling dump feature, I would suggest using that instead of the ducting. This drops alot of cool air where the oscillating fan can push it around. Insulation as stated by others is a must, especially the front cap and windshield.Re: 12 Volt versus 6 volt-Rarely boondockThanks for the speedy replies. I will only get one new 12 Volt most likely.
