That butyl tape is what failed in the first place and it will eventually fail again.It likes to shrink and pull in on the corners. To fix it permanently,I use 3M Window Weld in a tube.It can be messy if not careful but it will never leak again.Roughly half of the windows in mine leaked eventually and it was obvious the OEM butyl tape was the culprit.525Views0likes0CommentsTank drain valves
Motor home needs new gate valves.It's located in the camp ground 160 miles from home and I forgot to measure them before I left.Anyway...unit is a 2002 31 ft Coachmen leprecaun.I know the gray and black are 2 different sizes but not sure exactly what size.If anyone knows,I sure would appreciate it. There can be problems with almost any jack if you happen to have a flat on the front.A bottle jack won't get under it where you need to be to get the tire off the ground...and more problems if not on concrete.Black top not usually good enough.I built a 6 inch high wedge out of 1 inch plywood to run the wheel up on to get the bottle jack under it and if not on concrete,something relatively thin and extremely sturdy for under the jack to keep it from sinking in the ground.These things are HEAVY! Ozone and burn smells are 2 different things. Ozone is created by arcing or sparks,burn is...burn, as in wire insulation.Since you have seemingly checked everything on the furnace,just for kicks,check the shore power breakers for loose,corroded,burnt connections.If you were ever in a low voltage situation,that stuff gets hot and compromises the breakers and connections without tripping the breakers.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: time to replace brakes?
Apples and oranges here but when replacing shoes on my Dexter axle boat trailer(surge brakes),Dexter wanted $150 a side.I went to my go to guy at Oreillys and he thought they looked like 80s Chevy shoes.He grabbed a couple boxes from the back and we compared them.One was a direct match,even the stamping marks on the steel were exactly the same.$30 a set for the best ones they had.809Views0likes0CommentsRe: 2006 Ford E450 Transmission issue
