I know the age of my tires and they definitely need it. ...and for neat stuff I'm asking for a new mattress for the bed and a wifi system of some type (which I'll be researching this winter.) ....and a 2015 edition of Next Exit. Great thread!Re: Dumb Question O The Day! Where's my front panel hood latch?I went out this morning and took a better look and found a pull latch under the dash on the right side of the steering column....under where the stereo and a/c is located. I'm pretty sure it must be the hood latch.Re: Dumb Question O The Day! Where's my front panel hood latch?Thank you for the suggestions. I did feel around the grill under the panel and didn't feel anything. Annoying because I can look right through the grill at the batteries. I did ask this in the classic section of the Tiffin forum and got one answer which matched jorbill2or's suggestion to look under the driver's seat but I'll have to wait till morning now. It could be there because I vaguely remember the previous owner showed me that the prop to the hood was in that bay. Thanks again....I'll post back if I find it or not.Dumb Question O The Day! Where's my front panel hood latch?I got up under the dash of my 97 Allegro Bus with a flash light and can't find the latch to the front panel so I can get to the batteries, etc. Here is a link to a model on a dealer's page exactly like mine. http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/1997-Tiffin-Allegro-Bus-32-111966941Re: Where do you get service work doneI just found out yesterday that Scheirls Tires will work on class A gas brake systems. I don't know how big of a chain they are in the midwest but if they do it other tire dealers might?Re: Gas Tax by state pyoung47 wrote: Oklahoma must have some of the worst roads in the country -- and one of the lowest tax rate. Missouri, where I live has exhausted its highway funds and tried to fund roads with a sales tax. Along with OK some of the lowest fuel taxes in the country. I just had an article come across my facebook feed today about our Scott Walker suggesting a sales tax instead of gas tax.Re: new tiresTinkerer, I see you are in Wisconsin too. I'm central. I need to get new tires in the spring. May I ask where you got them? Dealer or tire place? We have one RV dealer in our area that deals in/services motorhomes and I like to compare but I don't even know where to start. When I had the dealer check the dates on mine (they were all turned inward) he told me that the newest 2 were cheapies like from Fleet Farm. I wouldn't think Fleet would have the ability to lift a class A?Re: Over Priced Used Motorhomes.I found my exact coach on a dealer in Indiana's website for over double what I paid for mine. It has twin beds, mine has a queen bed, it has a booth and mine dinette w/chairs, it has 20k more miles than mine and visible body damage on rear bumper. I've been watching it all season and they just dropped it down $3k but that still seems way way up there to me. Our local dealer has two models of the same age that I went and looked at personally last spring (their Camperpalooza was scheduled during March and unfortunately for them it was still bitter cold here so a lot of the units weren't even cleaned up) but I felt like I was going to fall through the floor on one of them and even after the late season mark down they are still asking more than I paid.Re: First time, 6 months on the road!!!Congrats! I am envious too! My DH walked in the door yesterday morning from work. He took a 'vermeil handshake' after 42 years on the job. Unfortunately since unemployment is part of the deal for his last 6 months we are stuck here in Wisconsin. On the positive side we can leave for California as soon as school is out. I talked to my brother yesterday and it was 92 out there. I am so dreading another winter like last year because I too believe it will happen. We didn't have sewer from Valentines Day till April 24th. The main line was frozen solid.Re: I'm thinking of going to manual steps. mike brez wrote: Does it look like This or This It's the part that ends in 6000. Thanks. Now I know not to let the dealer gouge me for the part.
